**** WARNING *** Stay completely away from this institution “BARCLAY” OLD NAVY” horrible customer service, they decrease your spending, without notice!!! I had a credit limit of 750.00 I charged 240.00 for Christmas gifts - I placed order 12/17- I then today look at my statement - it shows my limit is only 400.00 - so, I call and say what’s going on? They said we reduced your credit limit and sent a letter on 12/19- so, I place said order on 12/17 they decreased my credit limit to 400.00 in which now my credit usage is over 50%!! In which none of my credit cards are near that!! So, I paid off credit card today - I will then cancel once it’s processed!!! DONT APPLY FOR THIS CREDIT CARD OR ANY CREDIT CARD WITH THIS INSTITUTION!!! You will regret it horribly — I would give this company -0.00 if I could!!

Absolute worse credit card company I’ve ever dealt with in my life. They refuse to take responsibility for fraud and make you jump through hoops for even the most obvious cases of fraud/theft. Like your own app warned me about a fraud purchase and yet this company refuses to take responsibility??? Taking all my money out of my Barclays savings account soon to avoid dealing with this wildly incompetent company

Have an Old Navy credit card through Barclays, less than a week ago I paid off my full balance. Only paid late once in the three, four years that I’ve had it. Original credit line was $800.00 just got a letter in the app today- they decreased my credit limit to $200.00. Seems like they absolutely balance chase- I held a higher balance due to some medical issues- but finally got back on track with everything and boom. Not that I planned on using that much, nor really using the credit card often- but now this will absolutely ding my credit score that I’ve been working so hard to raise.

This is thee worst credit card/bank ever. They continuously lower your credit limit despite making regular & more than the minimum monthly payments, & change the interest rates as well all with no knowledge or even talking or notifying you before doing it. Because of decreasing your credit limit & increasing your interest rates, it takes forever to pay the card off. Haven’t used this card since August, (6 months) & the blonde has gone nowhere lthough it’s being paid in 3 times a month. I wish I had read reviews before I got this card. Hopefully these reviews will help someone not to make the mistake of getting this card. I had to give 1 star because you can’t give 0 stars.

We've had a Upromise Barclay credit card for years with no complaints until today. Yesterday, we received a fraud alert on the card in my name. My husband has a card but it's under my name. They were to reissue 2 new cards and send them Fed express requiring a signature. My husband's card was thrown on the front porch this afternoon. I tried to talk with a representative who was difficult to understand and hung up on me. She basically said a card was not requested for me eventhough the card is in my name and the envelope was addressed to me. ??? She told me the card would arrive on the 26th and that date could not be changed eventhough I can't be here to sign on the 26th.

They took over gm credit cards from Marcus. Somewhere my account got lost. Talked to Marcus they told me it was sent over. Barclays is blaming everyone else for the problem. They finally told me it was sent to a collection agency with a 0 balance. Collection agency told me Barclays sent it there. Barclays tells me Marcus did. They won't take responsibility and are just horrible to work with. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM UNLESS YOU WANT ISSUES

After months of trying to get me to go to paperless billing for my account (Banana Republic, GAP, etc..) I did just that. March 2025 my wife makes a $72 purchase for clothes using my card without me knowing. Fast forward to December 2025 and I get a bill from a debt collector saying I owe $400+ for delinquency to pay off this debt unbeknownst to me. My credit line from my bank also goes on freeze for have a delinquent credit account. After verifying the $72 in charges I go back and don't have a single notification from Barclay US about the amount owed. No April statement, no May, June, July, Aug, Sep, Oct Nov or Dec. No notification of a late fee. Rather waiting 8 months to maximize penalties on a $72 balance to the point I owe $413, have my account suspended, my bank loan suspended and collection agency left to work it out. Customer Service at Barlclay US wouldn't even tell me if/when they had notified me of this outstanding bill either mail, email, phone or other because I was no longer a customer and to deal with collections. Of course it's because they never did notify me. Shame on them and I'll never work with their company or the retailers they represent again. Beware
