Backwater ReptilesReviews of backwaterreptiles.com

Scam I order a ribbon snake and they said "your order is canceled" they didn't give my money back and they dared ask for me to order another one, I also HAVE SCREENSHOTS OF MY ORDER AND A SCREEN RECORDING, I'm so upset dude, I spend half of my savings into that snake, this is fked up

THEY ARE HORRIBLE!!! A SALES REP WAS MAKING JOKES BECUASE I INFORMED THEM THAT THE ANIMALS WERE FOR MY AUTISTIC CHILD AND THAT I NEEDED THEM SHIPPED IMMEDIATELY (AFTER A WEEK OF LIES AND GAMES). THEY THEN TOLD ME THAT THEY RAN OUT OF THE TURTLES FOR MY SON!!! SO WHILE THEY WERE MAKING JOKES AND FUN THEY SOLD OUT??!! SO I ASKED FOR A FULL REFUND AND WAS TOLD MY EMBARRASSING MESSAGES WOULDN'T BE RESPONDED TOO!! I AM NOT EMBARRASSED I AM PISSED OFF MY SON WORKED HARD MADE STRIDES TO GET THESE ANIMALS AND THIS COMPANY STILL HAS NOT REFUNDED ME NOR TRIED TO MAKE THIS RIGHT!!!

Awful, fraudulent company.

Holy crap! I have no idea how so many people are claiming to have had bad experiences with this business. I have bought 4 (count them) 4 tarantulas (all separate transactions) and never had an issue. I even tried to buy a 5th and they ran out so the immediately contacted me to let me know if I wanted a replacement. Then on another occasion I ordered a T of a certain size but the ran out and again emailed me to see if I wanted a different size. I have had very good experiences with them. Yes they can take awhile to respond sometimes but I have never not gotten a response, and every order that has been mailed to me has arrived perfectly healthy. I just received a beautiful adult Mexican Redknee Tarantula today as a matter of fact. The importance of adding this is, it is very cold where I live right now. I was concerned it might die in transit, but when I opened the box, they were smart enough to have added a heat pack to keep her nice and comfy. THANK YOU! I've even bought several feeder insects that arrived on time alive and healthy with FREE SHIPPING! I have dealt with other places in addition to them but they've been the best so far. I will definitely be doing most if not all my buying from them in the future. These negative reviews are quite shocking to me since I have never had an issue. (Probably over sensitive, demanding a$$hole types.)

Shady people Shady business they never pick up the phone when you call them you have to leave a message paid for overnight shipping never received my frog I asked for a refund and I'm still waiting.

Like others, wish there were zero stars. Their marketing exceeds their business acumen. Got a DOA chameleon and like others have said, they blame the customer. Chameleon arrived cold despite a lame heat pack under balls of paper, the moisture towels were dry. Other's comments are identical to the run around I got rather than just replacing the dead reptile.

Took money but then never sent the product demanding a minor send in a photocopy of their ID/Driver License (not possible), a photocopy of their debit card, and social security number because of a billing/shipping address mismatch. When emailed, a couple times, that the information requested wasn't possible and an explanation why the addresses didn't match (USPS doesn't ship to our physical address so billing is at a PO Box) Blackwater Reptiles continued to ask for the same documentation. After complaining that the process and user experience was poor Britney at Blackwater Reptiles took the complaint as a "tantrum" saying we were banned in the future from purchasing anything. Don't buy from this place as they can't take any criticism and respond with further poor customer service.

Arrived overnight very lively, good communication. Very good experience all around.
