I’ve had a pair of Avancus since their launch. I’ve owned both the V1 and limited edition red, white and blue V3. I love the concept, design and feel of the shoe. My only point of feedback is that the closer you get to the one year mark the more they fall apart. My V1 started to come undone where the soul met the toes at the tip. I did wear them outside of the gym and chalked the wear and tear up to that, giving the benefit of the doubt. I continued to wear them until the limited edition V3 launched where I snagged a pair of those. I’m 7 months into these shoes and they’re already falling apart again. The souls of the shoe have cracked. The difference for me this time was I made a point to never wear them outside of the gym and I didn’t until the first time yesterday. I left my in between shoes in the locker and walked to the car with my avancus on to put my kids in the car and help my wife. It had rained the night before and immediately upon hitting some water my feet and socks started to get wet. That’s when noticed the cracks in the bottom of the shoe. Solid product but they won’t last you past a year!
