I just got the red avancus which I liked the color so much. This is my 5th avancus shoes and I will keep buying it. The reason I gave it 3 star was because the color got into my socks after taking my shoes off it was all red so it could ruin my white socks.

First off, the v3s themselves are pretty great. Roomy toe box, very flat to the ground, good lateral support for sumo, and just have a nice fit. I have bought multiple pairs because of this. However, after using two pairs for a few months, I’ve noticed in both of them that the adhesive connecting the outsole to the shoe starts to separate at the tip/toes. This is while only using the shoes for squats, deadlifts, and basic accessories (nothing that crunches the toes of the shoe), and normal storage/treatment when not in use. Avancus’ customer service is top tier and has already provided me a replacement for one of these pairs, but it’s frustrating seeing in my other pair the same issue emerge considering I don’t want to have to keep buying or requesting replacements for these shoes. I will concede that functionally, even when the sole starts separating, you can probably keep using the shoes for some time without major issue but you’d like to have more trust in the shoes ability to hold under load without it worsening.

Ordered a size 7 men’s but they sent me an 8.5. They were nice enough to pay for the return shipping. However when the replacement package came they sent the wrong size again. They let me keep the 2nd pair, and sent another pair the next size down free of charge.

Let me start off by saying, the quality and effectiveness of their shoes are best in the industry. The reason for the 3 star review has to do with their logistical process when submitting an exchange in shoe size and their claim that their Size Chart is accurate. Firstly, I ordered a Men's 6.5 / 39EU, as that is my TTS. When receiving the shoe, it is 1inch too long. I went ahead with the exchange portal and selected a size 4.5M / 37EU. Fortunately a friend has this size that I was able to try on, and it fit perfectly. Come to find out, Avancus will not guarantee they have the size you selected until they receive your returned shoe and approve it. The problem lies in the size availability being shown during the exchange process and the chances their shoe that is in high demand, doesn't have the size you selected one they review it. I hope they update their size chart to accurately reflect the correct size Or possibly add the length of the shoe so that customers can take a measuring tape at home to confirm the size before they order. Secondly, make the exchange process clear that just because you can select your new size, doesn't mean it'll be there once the exchanged shoe is received. Also don't forget, you have to pay the shipping fee to return/exchange the shoe. I am now waiting for over a month for my size to come back in stock. All this because their size chart was inaccurate and they have a flawed exchange process.

I’m not sure why there’s a lot of people that say this shoe fits true to size. I have a pair of vivobarefoot primus lite III in a size 45 European and they fit absolutely perfect. I looked at the sizing chart on the Avancus website and it recommended a size 46 European for someone with a size 12-12.5 US which I have. So I ordered the 46 and it’s actually too small. It compresses my toes to a point of extreme uncontrollability and I don’t even want to wear them. I don’t see how I could fit a 45 just fine in vivos and these size 46 feel so tight in the toes even after taking the insoles out. The design and construction of the shoe is great for the most part. Extremely grippy and lots of support. On paper a great powerlifting shoe. Just feels like it needs some tweaks with sizing and possibly even a wider toe box.
