Rude and Hostile Workers
I entered auto zone and saw a section the said "batteries" so I approached who appeared to be the manager and starts yelling at me stating and pointing in another direction for me to get in line at the register. He was rude throughout the process and so was another one of his workers. Both men were Latino. I'm not sure if racial discrimination against me was a factir, but it felt like it. They quoted me a $250 battery price, stated they couldn't install it even if I purchased it and it would be scheduled to arrive the next day. They didn't have the battery and my car needed a jump. They made a fuss about how they don't give jumps because that's not their job. Finally, one of the younger guys named Chris gave me a jump and I paid him $10. I haven't driven in a while, first day in over five years. I needed a jump a few years ago from a citizen in a parking lot and they were more decent than these two men at auto zone. Auto Zone needs to fire that entire staff and start over. I'm a female vet, and I traveled all over the world. Never had the problems that I experienced at this auto zone. Needless to say, I won't be back to any auto zone. If staff are unable to be decent to customers because of the customers ethnic/racial background then they should be fired. To anyone else needing supplies for their vehicle, go to a different auto shop. Avoid the one in San Antonio on new Braunfels. They were ridiculously rude and discriminatory.
