HELPED ME WITH AN EXTREMELY DIFFICULT MOVING JOB. MY TRANSPORT SENT OPEN TRUCK TO MOVE ESCALADE TO VEGAS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ENCLOSED. OTHER COMPANY TOLD ME A WEEK AND GUEST WAS BACKING OUT OF DEAL....THEY HAD ME A DRIVER THERE NEXT MORNING (SHOCKED) DRIVER COURTEOUS AND TOOK PICTURES SENT TO MY GUEST AT PICK UP. probably the best part of our move and the most solid professional service we got between movers, dogs, transportation, etc. Good communication. good pricing. the driver was very professional and communicated when he's going to be there and we are very happy moving two SUVs from Los Angeles to Charlotte. highly recommend.

Think twice before hiring Austar
Think twice before hiring Austar. We moved from Puerto Rico to Texas and requested a quote in February. The price they quoted initially doubled by the time of service. They promised delivery by May 26, but our car didn’t arrive until June 5. Customer service was unhelpful and often couldn’t tell me where the car was. After the car was loaded they demanded an extra $700 for “rising fuel costs” — more than double the amount originally quoted for ground transport and not justified by any fuel calculation they provided. We agreed to pay to speed things up, but the car still arrived seven days later than promised. Overall, poor communication, unexpected charges, and missed delivery dates — I cannot recommend them.

We understand your concerns regarding the pricing changes, delivery timing, and communication throughout the shipment. In the auto transport industry, quotes are based on market conditions at the time they are provided, and carrier rates can change due to factors such as route demand, availability, and operating costs, and massive gas and diesel increases that the country has seen since February. Updated pricing was explained to the customer prior to the vehicle arriving to the port in FL.
We understand how important accurate updates and realistic timelines are, especially during a major relocation. While carriers ultimately control the transportation schedule once a vehicle is in transit, we recognize that clearer communication could have made the process easier.
Your feedback regarding pricing transparency, communication, and delivery expectations has been noted and will be taken into account as we continue working to improve our service.

Transport GMC 2500 Crew cab Longbed
Very good quote right away for my GMC truck long bed that needed to be transported. Had tight window to pick up vehicle and with the 5 day window I did not know about I had to have pickup done without my presence. Steve found a driver and we were able to have vehicle picked up remotely. Transporter was great and delivered in less than 1 day from GA to AL.

Auto star was impeccable
Auto star was impeccable on transporting my car. Gave a fair quote was on time no problems when delivered on day promised to. And driver communicated during transport. I will use autostar again. I give them 5 stars

Bad Experience - But Could Have Been an Outlier …
While I will say getting a quote was easy and the price was fair, once I made the down payment, the commitment level fell off the charts.
There was a 5 day window available to transport my car 5 hrs and the representative I was working with assured me multiple times my car would deliver by the time it was needed, including still the morning of the last day it was supposed to arrive.
It wasn’t until we got to the mid-day point of the 5th day (last day delivery could be expected) when I politely, yet pointedly, asked if they would still get my car delivered by the end of the day … and then got a message saying “nothing yet” and that there are no guarantees, but I was entitled to a refund.
I was very clear the entire time of the deadline to get my car to me and I even questioned why they didn’t even consult me when they found a driver that cost a little more but guaranteed delivery next day. They just informed me after the fact that the option was on the table for a little more money, but they declined on my behalf and then didn’t follow through with their delivery commitment at all and I lost almost a week waiting.
On the 5th day, mid-day. I did cancel my reservation and went with a competitor of Auto Star that picked up that same day and delivered the next morning for just a tad more money.
I hope my experience was an anomaly and based on other reviews, it very well could have been … but just make sure you understand the fine print of what you are signing up for vs what they verbally assure you of, as the two were not the same during my experience.
Nexus auto transport is who I ended up going with and they did exactly what they said they would for the price agreed upon.
