Advertising items that they do not have. Classic bate and switch.
Response from Automotive Equipment SpecialistsMay 19, 2020
Steven, We apologize if you felt mislead, however there was no bate and switch. We do advertise the older models of the Robinair AC Machines on our website. This is because many customers are not familiar with the newer models due to their redesigned cabinets. While a customer may still add old models to their cart, it is noted in the description of the old models that there is either low stock and availability is subject to change, or that the model is no longer available, but that the customer will be receiving the newest version at no additional cost. Customers that opt for the newer models are receiving upgraded equipment. Newer Robinair models have an unmatched performance with 98.5% recovery, improved screen display, new cabinet design, and future expandability. Old Robinair AC Machines are no longer in production, and are more difficult to find unless buying a used model. We do not sell used or refurbished models. When you placed an online order with us for the old ROB-34788 model, we reached out to you via phone call to informed you that the ROB-34788 was no longer available. You were informed that you would be receiving the newer ROB-34788NI model at no additional cost. It was explained that the newer models function the same apart from being more efficient and have a redesigned cabinet. Just as we do with every customer, we called to ensure that this would be alright with you. When you decided that you would rather continue searching for the older ROB-34788, we cancelled your online order with us. The authorization on your card was cancelled, and your credit card was never charged. We believe in customer service which is reflected in our 5 star reviews on Trustpilot. Our 1 star reviews are far and in-between. We wish you luck on your future purchase despite it not working out.
