Audi 2025 Q8 Prestige Alternator Fail
I purchase a 2025 Q8 Prestige for $89K fully loaded. I had it for 14 months, 12,000 miles, and the alternator went. The dashboard lit up w/warning signs and I made it home 1/2 mile away. It was towed to the dealer the the alternator replaced. They told me Audi replaced it with a new alternator not a rebuilt one. Obviously it was covered under warranty. It has not sounded the same since. Not a big change but enough that I notice the sound of the engine is different. It had an extremely quiet interior and now I can hear the engine more. I had a Lexus for 10 years and the only thing I ever did was routine repairs and maintenance. Nothing ever failed. I never spent this kind of money on a car and expected the same quality. It is a let down and I completely lost confidence in the brand. I will never again buy or recommend an Audi.
