It's horrible. Randomly logged me out. Tried to log me back in. Told me I had to reset password. Reset password. Still wouldn't let me in. Told me I have to turn on 2FA. Clicked enable. Asked me to scan a QR code with "The App". Don't know which app it means so can only assume it's the Asana app. Open app on phone. Logged out. Try to sign in. Tells me to enable 2FA. Click enable. Asks me to scan a QR code. Give up on app. Try different browser. Try to log in again. Only the second time. Error message - "Too many attempts. Please try again later." Want to scream and throw computer out of window. This is such a horrible user experience. the developers are absolute morons. (or sadistic freaks that enjoy making people's user experience miserable).

Terrible platform
Terrible platform. It won't let you change plan and sends you on an endless loop. No one to talk to! We will boycott this app and get our funds back!!

They keep charging money despite cancelled subscription
As one of many people here, I have been charged despite cancelling subscription. Unfortunately this is an ongoing issue and I am thinking about taking a legal actions here. I have provided them with an evidence and confirmation email that I have cancelled subscription, so I don't know on which basis they keep charging me.

Asana
Asana, at its core, is a powerful and well-designed project management tool that offers significant value for teams. However, my recent experience as a sole proprietor has unfortunately revealed a darker side of a company that, like many who taste significant success, seems to have become fixated on high per-user pricing and rigid policies, sacrificing genuine customer empathy in the process.
I was inadvertently charged for a 5-seat team plan (€84.31) which, given my status as a single-person business, I neither actively use nor need. This per-seat pricing model is already quite high, especially for smaller entities or those scaling down. My request for a refund and cancellation initiated an incredibly frustrating and drawn-out process.
Over several days and a lengthy email exchange, I repeatedly explained my specific situation. Despite the inherent fairness of my request for a refund on an an unused, unneeded service that was simply too expensive for a solo operation, I was met with relentless references to Asana's "subscriber agreement" and inflexible refund policies. The numerous back-and-forth messages, the offering of irrelevant free months, and the ultimate denial of a refund after a supposed "escalation to the finance team" (for a "one-time exception" that never materialized) highlight a system that prioritizes policy over customer satisfaction.
It feels as though Asana, while building an objectively good product, has lost the human touch. The customer service, while technically responsive, felt largely automated and devoid of genuine empathy. For a company of Asana's stature, this rigidity and unwillingness to be flexible – especially when the core issue stems from an overpriced per-seat model that no longer fits a user's needs – is deeply disappointing. It creates a barrier rather than building loyalty.
This experience vividly illustrates how companies, once successful, can become "money-greedy," focusing on maximizing revenue per user without truly understanding or accommodating the diverse, real-world needs of their customer base. They do something good, but lack the authentic human connection and flexibility that truly creates long-term value and positive customer relationships.
My subscription is now set to cancel on its renewal date in June 2025, but without a refund. This ordeal has been a significant burden and a stark reminder of the importance of choosing service providers who balance robust products with genuine customer understanding and a willingness to adapt, not just profit.
I am going to build my own tool instead, stay tuned for VekstBoost

Expensive, bad UX and terrible support
Unfortunately, I have to agree with most of the reviews in here.
The UX is clunky.
Once you pay, support is only via email (even on the most advanced plan).
The refund policy is just dumb, they made me pay for 10 months for something I won't be using.
If your read this, dont fall into the Asana trap, it's expensive and not worth your money.

Scam and fraud - stay away from free trials
Scam!
I was lured into a trial period last year. Tried the app once, but it wasn't for me, so I deleted the app again.
Now I discover that Asana, without warning, has withdrawn 120 euros from my account. I NEVER signed up for a permanent subscription with them.
I have contacted customer service to get a refund, as well as to have the information they have about me deleted, but get an AI-induced auto-response that it can't be done.
I am so angry and upset about being scammed out of SO much money. I am a single mother, so it affects food for my children.
