Do NOT use this company. Their customer service is horrible. We have been trying to install a standby generator and they keep randomly rescheduling their piping work without notifying us of the reschedule or providing any local contact number for updates. I've been on hold on their main number for a total of 250 minutes of my life so far (still on hold now after 65 minutes), twice disconnected after 90+ minutes hold time. DO NOT USE THEM.

Actual grade 0. They would not let you put zero. The absolute worse energy company in the world. They take your money for payment promise that they will deliver and then no one ever delivers. You wait on the phone for hours at a time and no one ever answers or has an answer. The pathetic CEO sent out a letter apologizing to customers in promising to make it right what an absolute joke he is. The best thing AmeriGas can do is sell the company to a reputable efficient energy company that can service the area without all of the excuses and ineptitude this is beyond ridiculous. How can you take someone’s money and a month later not provide the service and expect them to be OK with it? No one is begging for free propane this is business get your act together or get the hell out of the business.

OMG. I am also on automatic delivery with a wifi service directly to Amerigas. For years I was told to call for a fill when the tank read below 30%. Service was prompt. Now that the company records the percent all hell breaks loose. Down to 24%, they say we'll set up a deliver. Down to 9%, of we'll expedite a delivery. Down below 4%: Still no delivery, 4th day of calling waiting 1.5hrs on the phone - NOW ITS AN EMERGENCY. Now down to nothing and they can't even find an original delivery order let alone respond to a need to emergency fill. I AM COLD. 15 years of service and this company has gone from bad and expensive to worse, expensive and Zero service .

I am on automatic delivery service, but they don’t keep up with it. I read my tank at 10% and reported this, requesting a delivery. No delivery. Requested again at 5%. No delivery. Now I am out of propane cannot get through to anyone who will give me a delivery date. Really irresponsible service! And you cannot get through to speak to a supervisor. You get out on indefinite hold and no one picks up.

I setup a delivery for 12/7/20 at the end on Nov. They sent me an email a day before and said they had to reschedule for the 16th. Told me on the 16th it would be 12 before they got their and a no show. I called at 3PM and was told driver is still coming. So at 6PM I call and they say oh driver never checked in so they would call in the morning. Its 11am and no call so I call and being told they haven't been able to speak to anyone at my local office. At 1:45 I get an email saying sorry we will have to reschedule you because with Covid 19 and weather we are unable. Quit blamming everything on Covid get out and do your work and we have 0 snow here. Grow up and admit you screwed up and we are going to blame it on Covid

We have been on the phone with Amerigas everyday for the last 6 days asking about when our tank is going to get refilled. The people on the phone kept saying they will expedite our order, we are now down to 3% and still no gas. When my wife was finally put in touch with a supervisor she was told that there had been not expediting notes put in. According to their website our delivery was schedule on Nov 21st and it is now Dec 16th. My wife and son had to get a hotel room last night because they were worried about running out of gas in the middle of the night. It has been dropping in the single digits outside at night where we leave and these people dont care. We have pre-paid to last us through the winter and once we get through this winter we will be looking for a different vendor.

AmeriGas is beyond awful. When our rental contract for the tank expires, we're switching companies. Several times we called to make an appointment, waited 45 minutes, then got cut off without warning. Apparently their phone system is set to disconnect you after 45 minutes. If you do manage to get an appointment, they don't show up. They don't notify you in any way that they aren't coming, they just change your appointment time and day and don't tell you that, either. You have to call them and wait on the phone to talk with someone to find out they rescheduled you. They can't call or text or email the information?!? Twice we finally got appointments and both times they rescheduled twice on us, without notice. It's extraordinarily inconsiderate to have people waiting around for hours for a no show. The people on the phone have been nice, but the management of the company is awful!

Used to have good customer service when you could call local office. Now that ordering is web based and by voice is remote it seems marginal at best. Waiting for propane for almost 3 weeks now and having to heat house by space heaters so propane wont run out. Even though escalated last week no updates on when or if there will ever be a delivery. Since I have been renting tank for 22 1/2 years, I have no choice over suppliers. Way to go Amerigas.
