I just read many other reviews of others nightmarish experiences some much worse than ours. We canceled our service within a couple of months due to their excessive overcharges and broken promises of deliveries that never came. The first disaster with them was installing a tank in October. Their workers failed to ask where we work like it to be placed. They made a mess of our yard digging to lay the lines much worse they plopped an ugly tank in the middle of our backyard without asking instead of toward the back where our trees are so as not to be such an eye sore. They then made us wait over a month to relocate it and charged another big fat bill for something that was their mistake. We disputed and they sent back part of the refund. Still owe us $117+ for months now yet different service reps have lied to us told us it’s being sent but it never shows up. Plus their prices have gone up are higher than the local company we now use. Please stay away from this horribly incompetent unethical company. They only care about ripping you off of as much money as possible. They care NOTHING about their customers!!

Amerigas is a horrible company. Hiked my prices over a dollar per gallon over current local market price with no notice. When I tried to talk to someone about it I get sent to a snippy VA in the phillipenes, nice one AMERIgas. When I finally got to someone to talk about it they said they would file a ticket with billing and be back in touch. Well they got back in touch with nothing but a late fee. These people are criminals and I will never use them again.

Amerigas used to be a very decent company. I do not know what happened but their service is disastrous. Their 500 gallon propane tank has been sitting on my property since last September when our builders requested the removal. It is March now, i called them twice - nothing happens! Avoid this company if you can, please.

Amerigas has horrible service and customer service. On 2/21 I called for delivery for my 94 yr old mother who ran out of gas. The first rep said her computer was having trouble and could she call me back, I said no and I called again. The second rep took my request and said that the gas would be delivered on 2/24. On 2/24 I called at 4:00pm and the third rep said the gas should be delivered before 7:00pm. I called on 2/25 and the fourth rep said the second rep was confused and thought I said my mother's tank would be empty on 2/24, he then proceeded to tell me that the gas will be delivered within 7 days and that they also deliver on Saturdays. I called on the 8th day and the fifth rep said that it takes 5 to 10 days before the gas is delivered. I then asked to speak with a supervisor, she told me that what she was telling me was indeed correct and she is sorry that the other reps gave me misinformation. Needless to say, my 94 yr old mother is still waiting for gas from Amerigas.

Amerigas left my 84 year old mother in the freezing cold for several days in Show Low, AZ, before she finally hired another company to bring her propane. She had no hot water or heat. They said they had made her delivery, but couldn't even get anyone out to check after repeated phone calls. When the new company put their tank in, they said the existing one was empty. Ameriprise would not refund my mother for the delivery that they didn't make. Do not use this company.

Horrible customer service and a rip off in price if you don’t order enough but they won’t tell you what the level is that you need to get the lower volume. I had to change my billing address with them. It couldn’t be done online so I called. I was on the phone for an hour and a half to get it done.

Do not use this company! Horrible customer service! All calls are taken by people outside U.S. with very hard to understand accents! Plus, it was their fault my propane ran completely out and they waited over 30 hours before refilling the tank! They are too big and too callous! On February 22nd my house in Vermont was getting colder even though I was running the furnace. I checked the Amerigas online tank gauge and it said tank was at 57%. I then called and had my furnace service come out to fix the furnace. They came and said nothing was wrong with furnace, that I was completely out of propane! I called Amerigas twice on the 22nd. They informed me it might take up to 48 hours to get a refill! I said that was unacceptable. I always asked to speak to a supervisor and said it was an emergency but the representatives said no supervisor was available. The Amerigas number always connected me to a call center outside the U. S. and I could hardly understand them. I spent all day yesterday on phone trying to see when the propane would be delivered as there was a winter storm warning for the next day and I did not want my pipes to freeze. No one gave me a window for when it would be delivered. Finally, at 6 pm they delivered the propane, over 30 hours after I called them for an emergency propane delivery! Terrible company. I am canceling service.

If I could give a ZERO i would as 1 star is too high. Every time you call you get someone in Southeast Asia who you cant understand. If you ask to speak to someone else, like a manager, you get put on hold for over an hour. Three times I had gas attempted to be delivered. Three times I have told them there is a gate to our neighborhood that the driver will need to call from the call box to reach me to unlock the gate. Three times the person for Amerigas said they understood this and would make notes letting the driver know to call from the box at the gate. This is the WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH IN MY 53 YEARS OF LIFE!!! This company has no care or concern for anyone other than themselves and should be put out of business. As a business owner, I am embarrassed for them that they have such poor customer service and no attention to providing a quality service.
