One of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. Been weeks we needed a refill on our propane. We have dogs in our yard and unfortunately this company is not capable of calling leaving a message or text so we can bring the dogs in. We were told they would call and text but that wasn't the case. I ask for an emergency refill since we're at 5%. The lady I have spoke to said they would come later Monday or early Tuesday morning. No surprise know one showed up, come noon I called and was told by the same girl who is completely incompetent that she cannot promise a delivery today. When ask to speak with management she said I cannot they do not take inbound calls, I have to wait for one to call me which I highly doubt going to happen. Bottom line 3 week mutiple attempts to get service with no resolution is a JOKE! Not only am I canceling after being a customer for 15+ years. I am also going to make sure everyone I know using this service switches and get the message out there that AmeriGas is one of the worst companies & their customer service SUCKS beyond belief.

No such thing as personal service anymore. I do wish for more personal customer service. The call center is out of the country and it is impossible to talk to anyone with authority to change my payment preferences. They demanded payment before delivery.

Amerigas' customer service is non-existent. I'm an automatic delivery customer. I received notice that a delivery was scheduled on 6 November and to expect them within a few days. My tank level at the time was 20 percent. On 12 December my tank had still not been filled and my level was now 9 percent. I called them and was told my delivery was now 'expedited' and they would be there the next day. However, despite 3 additional phone calls over the next week, each time being reassured they delivery would happen 'tomorrow' my tank has still not been filled. Level is now below the indicating range, I've had the heat in my house turned off for the past 4 days despite outside temperatures in the 20s. Just spoke to them again and was told the delivery would happen today. However, it's now afternoon and no sign of them. After this experience, I think its time to go with another propane company.

Terrible service and awful customer service, delivery driver left purging screw opened causing propane leaks from noon till late evening when service truck came to fix it, created huge fire danger to all street and handicapped residents in the adult family home they filled tank, 5 % of 1000 gallons tank went in the air, until they fixed their fault, trying call them is the worst experience u can have

I recently bought a residence in June 2022 which was being serviced by Amerigas propoane. I decided to go with a different propane supplier and asked Amerigas to come get their 500 gallon tank. They told me it would be a couple weeks before they could get the tank. Two (2) weeks turned into several months. I called back a week ago and was told a representative would contact me within seven (7) days. Eight (8) days later and still no contact. I now have a partially-filled ugly and unsightly looking tank in my driveway trashing my property. I understand I'm not a customer of Amerigas, but they should have the common courtesy to retrieve their tank. Customer service is awful. This has been a horrible experience. I honestly don't know why anyone would want to be a customer of theirs.

Amerigas put us in a real bad position. We are dumping Amerigas as soon as possible. Like other reviewers, we had an order that was supposed to go out and never materialized. They missed three scheduled appointments for delivery. In that time, our gas level went from 20% to 8% and now we're scrambling. The Amerigas drivers have confided that the company is so messed up they can't find drivers. I called to try to sort matters out only to be told (1) they couldn't speak to me because my wife is the primary on the account, and (2) I called again and they spoke to me only to tell me that the order would be "delivered within 24 hours" - which was three days ago. We are in a rural area and depend on propane delivery. We are in a pinch now and have to find a new vendor and have Amerigas's tank removed on short order. As of right now, I am blowing the entire day waiting for a gas delivery that probably will not arrive. If you're looking for serious trouble, go with Amerigas.

first of all GET YOUR PROPANE ELSEWHERE!!! My daughter just ran out of gas, it's Dec 14, 10pm. Ameria gas said they delivered 115 gallons on Nov. 22nd, but no receipt was left on the door. She lives alone and has a gas furnace and an on-demand water heater that is gas. She washes clothes in cold water only and doesn't use the dishwasher. She also has a wood-burning stove going all the time it is a 1000 sq. foot home. She has never had more than 55 gallons delivered at any one-time charts provided on the website are proof of that. She ordered gas at 40% and they said they delivered 115 gallons to a 120-gallon tank. If the tank was completely, empty according to them that would have been against the law because we asked once why they don't completely fill the tank when they bring gas and we were told that by law they can not fill a tank to more than 80%. I finally got through to customer service on Dec. 15 at 8 am after an hour of trying to tell them the gas was never delivered they finally agreed to send a serviceman out to talk to us and make sure 115 gallons hadn't leaked out in 22 days, so we were happy at least we could talk to a real person that might have some common sense. We were told he would call an hour before he came. So at 4 pm, I called customer service again because we had never heard from a service tech only to have to go over everything again and finally be told that the service was scheduled for some time within the next 2 weeks. I tried to tell them it is December the high today was 21 and going to get colder. Then I was told they could cancel the service and schedule a delivery but that would be over a week away. I told them I wanted our money back for the delivery of the 115 gallons that never happened. They finally asked if we wanted this to go to arbitration and I said yes. But when I checked the account today there was no mention of arbitration. They closed the local office and would not give me the local driver's number so I could call him. It is all done through a call service that is manned by people who have no idea what you are talking about or care about real customer service but they can read a pre-written answer for everything. This isn't the first time we have heard of them doing this exact thing to people usually it is to the elderly. We will be buying a tank and getting gas elsewhere! Oh and if you do that they said they will charge you to come to get the tank. Just stay away from this company and find a company that cares about customer service.

i live in Washougal, Washington. No deliveries. Ten days past scheduled delivery. Out of propane now. Customer service promises are lies. Customer for 19 years in good standing. I could cut and paste all the angry customer comments here as they are the same as my experience. I am now supposed to be waiting for a 'manager' to call within the next 3 days. I was told by a beat down service rep that the local dispatchers had stopped answering the phone and emails.
