This company has 0 customer service. They won't listen, they don't do what they say they will do they lie about everything and the people know nothing about the business. Report them to the US energy department. So they can shut this company down. You will save yourself a lot of trouble no amount of savings is worth the hassle dealing with this company...

It should be ZERO Stars. Bought a house with a leased in ground tank. Our first year price was $1.86 a gallon. To lock in propane this summer would have cost us $4.60 a gallon. I checked to see what first time customers with Amerigas would pay and what would be the charges after the intro rate went out. $1.69 intro and $1.96 after with Amerigas. Come get your tank folks. To buy out the lease on a 22 year old tank was $2,000. A brand new tank is $4000. Customer service is no help as they are stuck to their script and there is no way to escalate complaints.

When I set up this service there was no rental charge on the tank. They now tell me every year that I owe over $133 every year. I argue with them every year and they insist that I owe this rental unless I buy over 500 lbs of bas each year. The only thing I use this gas for is to heat a pool. The tank is burried and they tell me that they will dig it up but will not fill in the hole if I cancel the service. This Is terrible and feels like a scam. How can I get out out of this?

Price and customer service both unacceptable. I was a customer for over 10 years and they charged me $149 to terminate my account and pick up the empty tank. I don't know how they can stay in business!

Continuously billed incorrectly, incorrect charges for a tank that is over 20 years old they claim they own (and randomly started charging for a lease in year 19 years after paid off)...agent said he would come dig it up, sent 3rd party installers to tank (for meter) without notification of coming on property, agents with little comprehension of English both on phone and in chat, although chat better. Numerous emails with no reply, ever. Inability to connect with a local office to speak to a person who can help or cares.

Like a previous reviewer said, I only gave 1 star because it wouldn't let me give a zero. One of the worst experiences with a company in my 60+ years. Heritage was okay until they were taken over by Amerigas. After that I spent three years getting incorrect bills and then had to fight with them over late fees they charged on money I didn't owe. It would take months and repeated calls to get everything straightened out and then the next year the same thing would happen all over again. Three years in a row. Finally in January of 2023 I told them to cancel my account and come get my tank. It took 5 calls and almost 7 months before they got their tank out of my yard. I had trouble communicating with most of the customer service staff and none of them seemed to ever care about the problems I was having. You can not talk to the local store any longer - everything goes to the national number with it's inept service.

AmericaGas billed as BTPROPANE got our business and then raised prices over competitive companies by over $1.40 per gallon. Wholesale rates in SC are $2.60. They were charging us over $4.40. When we told them we were canceling, suddenly we owed an additional $2,000. ( for invoices not shown online). Our last delivery costs 3 payments of $408 "summer prices". Last winter it was 3 payments of $259.
