Just got off the phone with JEFF from customer service at the 866-771-2008 number. We would have been great customers considering I was calling for home, as well as businesses. He was rude to say the least. Would never do business with this company. If this is the face of this business can't imagine what the rest looks like. No question why this company has a 1.1 star

They are terrible!! I could talk at length about their non-US based customer service agents in the Philippines that don't care about your issue. Or I could go on about the fact they refilled our tank and in the process they blew up our pool heater, blew out two regulators, and then back-charged us for the repairs to their equipment. They are terrible! I wish I had the option to give them zero stars. I feel like 1 star is way too generous.

Can’t imagine anyone giving Amerigas more than one star. Amerigas purchased and ruined a small local supplier I have used for almost 20 years. Prices are now double what other suppliers are charging in my area. It’s time to drain tank and back to local propane supplier. Stay away from Amerigas at all cost. Philippine customer service is a joke.

If you live in Texas and have issues with Amerigas in Texas and their complete disregard for serving their customers, Please call the Tx Attorney General office (800)-621.0508, or file a complaint online. I wish this site allowed zero stars. This company is a joke. Gas is essencial service and they treat emergency calls as casually and irresponsibly as if they were selling popsicle in a park. I am a metered customer and yet they screwed up and let me run out of gas 3 times in the last 9 months. Called to place an emergency delivery but 2 days later I still have not gotten gas. Called many times to check on status of the emergency delivery but receive a different excuse each time. Taking cold showers, no gas on stove, and god forbid I need my gas generator to kick in to keep insulin cold in the fridge. When I asked for emergency delivery their rep wanted to charge me for the delivery (remember, I’m a metered client) and the system would not let the rep change it. Had to wait almost 2 hours for a supervisor to wave the delivery charge. Tomorrow, Monday I’m hiring another propane company and can’t wait to fire these guys. AmeriGas is trying hard to run out of business in Texas. Any other competidor of AmeriGas has better online reviews. Waited too long to make this decision. Run from this company as fast as you can!!!!! Jun 26 Update - I've already hired another company but they can only install the new tank after the holiday of July 4. So I continue my phone saga to get someone to deliver my gas. After 3.5 hours and 5 phone calls that I asked for supervisor, they keep saying your "request has ALREADY being escalated, and someone will call with the delivery ETA". Please do a favor to yourself. If you are a customer get out of there. If you are looking for a propane company stay clear.

Two excellent service representatives of Amerigas came to our home - Mike Tasker and Taquai Whidbee came to our home, diagnosed our problem and installed a new tank. They were very helpful, worked hard, and gave superlative service. But let me tell a different story about the Amerigas billing, which they've totally botched up with excess charges and an off-shore customer service advocate system that's a complete joke. We now regret signing up with Amerigas, though, as we said, the 2 technicians/delivery men who initially came to the house did a very good job.

They have a responsibility to read individual meters throughout the community on a monthly basis and to then submit the resulting invoice to the individual residents. COVID put the in a position, apparently, to cut back on staff. As a result they now send the meter reader to our community every other month. They then submit that reading's numbers and invoice. The problem is the invoice on the "in between" months is an estimate of usage and a resulting charge. It is a request to pay an amount the guessed is what amount of gas you may [or may not] have used that month. And then they occasionally send a completely separate invoice to "true up" their books that are assumedly skewed by the obvious incorrect estimate. If this isn't illegal or against San Diego County regulations, it should be. My next stop......

They charged me $4.99, but their prices were $1.89. Posted right on their sign. They charged us more than DOUBLE because we only have an 120lb tank!! Because we use so little we got charged more!! How is that fair? A delivery fee maybe but to price it that high? That's disgusting!! With the way the economy is $500 versus $200 is a HUGE price jump!! I will not ever use them again!! Once this tank is out they can come get it and I'll use someone else who cost me to have to skimp on my groceries to feed my family!!

This company is so bad it's almost comical. On the line right now with customer "service". They have dropped the call twice after keeping me on hold for over 20 minutes.
