My wife and I took the Both Sides of the River Jordan tour in June. It far exceeded my expectations. Our guide Tamar in Israel was the best. She is Israeli and had lived there her life. She is so knowledgeable and gave us a very detailed insights to the history of Israel as well as the life of Christ. She brought the Bible to life but also balanced the tour with giving us an understanding of the geography and traditions of the Israeli people. Our Jordan guide, Mike, was also superb. I think he was part of the CTO agency that America Israel Tours used to take us through Amman and Petra. We felt very safe in both countries and the people were so friendly. Our tour group was great and everyone respected the timelines so we never missed anything because no one was late. Highly recommend this tour over other companies. We almost chose Gate 1 travel but AIT prices were competitive and their guides are great.

I thought AIT was the best choice we could have made for our wonderful experience in Israel. Everything about the trip was wonderful, the Tour Guide was knowledgeable and a treat to be with, the hotel selections were wonderful, food was excellent, bus service was perfect and visited sites were everything we had dreamed of. It just could not have been a better, more informative and more comfortable experience.

So where to even begin: Let me just say that AIT does a wonderful job at organizing. I had many questions before I left and everything was so easy, well planned and wonderful. Let me first start by saying that ISRAEL is safe, not once at anytime, did I ever feel unsafe. The people of Israel are gracious, kind, helpful and so happy to have you there. DO NOT BELIEVE ALL OF THE RUBBISH YOU HEAR ONTHE NEWS! Go and enjoy! So here is the scoop: You are usually on the bus everyday by 7:45 AM or 8:00 AM. Sounds early but you get up, eat breakfast and go. You do so much in the day that sometimes you will look back and say WOW! Day ends by 6:00 or so, then you are off to dinner or whatever you want to do. Please have comfortable shoes. You can wear shorts and sleeveless stuff but just remember for religious sites you will need to have something to cover your knees and shoulders. Most women used sarongs and scarfs on days their shoulder were exposed or they had on shorter shorts. I took a lot of $1.00 bills. I think I took 50, then I took another $50 in fives. Everyplace takes dollars and/or credit cards. Your guide will direct you. There was water on the bus everyday for $1.00 a bottle. The hotels are nice, the food is plentiful and if you get to stay at the Dead Sea their displays are fabulous! One of the best things for our group was that you just really become a family. You get to know everyone and when it is time to say good bye it is truly sad. You all embark on a journey that I cannot properly put into words, nor could I recreate. There is so much that will touch you. I am home now for 2 weeks and still wish I was riding around Israel on that bus. Ya, the bus. OMG, the drivers are excellent. We had Meir, and he got that bus into the smallest of spaces, came within what seemed inches of other cars and never hit a thing. They are very talented. Our guide Tamar was stellar. It was like we were her little boot camp and by day 2, she had us all trained and it perfect working order (ha). Needless to say the moral of this story is that the trip was wonderful and fulfilling. We are already looking to the summer of 2020 for a return trip to Israel. Please do note that there is quite a bit of walking and it is warm in the summer, this is not a trip where you are hanging by the pool and reading your favorite novel. It is full. You will love it. I really want to thank your company 4 the wonderful, stress free planning of our tour. Everything and everyone was in place to do what needed to be done on a timely manner. A perfect tour! Absolutely no flaws. Maii, our guide, was outstanding. We stayed at the Carlton in Tel Aviv and David Citadel in Jerusalem. Both were great. We also enjoyed staying on Kibbutz Lavi for 2 nights. The tour was perfectly planned.

If you are reading this review, it is likely you have never booked a trip with America Israel Tours. I just returned from the Roots of Your Faith tour and it was so much more than what I was expecting. I can highly recommend AIT based on my experience. The hotels and food: yes and yes. Beautiful hotels with breathtaking views, centrally located with clean, quiet, comfortable rooms. The buffets for breakfast and dinner were so vast that it was difficult to know where to start. Regardless of your dietary preferences you will have more selections than you can imagine. The itinerary presented in the literature is the itinerary we accomplished. Staying organized and timely will impact how much a group can see. This is where AIT really meets the challenge; the tour guide. Our guide Yair Amichay had all the qualities that make for a great tour guide: strong communication skills, personable, enthusiastic, great sense of humor, punctual and very organized. He combined his background in archaeology and history with the readings from the Bible to bring it all to life. Also impressive was the customer service at AIT which was excellent both here at home and in Israel. Ms. Marcia Krieger-Kool was the representative in Israel. She met with us the very last evening of the tour to help us with departure plans. She was very efficient in answering everyone’s concerns. You will love your visit to Israel and if you book with America Israel Tours you will hate to see it end!
