I have 2 artificial knees and a hip. After the first knee I was having serious issues with my back. I'm full of arthritis. Some one sent me to a special sports shoe store. There they fitted me and 5 years later if I wear anything else my feet tell me. I couldn't imagine putting my feet into anything else but a box toed shoe!

Once I discovered proper pose running, I knew I needed to get rid of my traditional shoes for a zero drop. My son recommended Altra and I love them. I am on my 7th pair! My next shoe will be their trainer for the gym.

I've been happy with my experience with Altra, their products, and how I think their shoes improved my overall journey from new runner to healthy experienced runner.

Altra is an innovative and excellent company that delivers outstanding running shoes for the runner looking for a natural run and shoes to help them acheive good running technique. I just purchased their escalante model which is a good solid product. Compared to the solstice shoe, which I race in, this model feels very cushioned. At first it was a little odd and I didn't know if I liked it, but after a few miles, it was really a nice ride. I love the toe box. Altra is a true Pioneer in this area. There is plenty of room and the heel grip is excellent. The fit was spot on. You can't get this comfort in the bigger brand shoes. I am looking forward to some long runs in this shoe. With that said, I'm going to purchase more models from this company and look forward to making Altra my exclusive running shoe. They are a great company to deal with.
