Return had to be posted tracked mail to Australia at prohibitive cost, despite being mailed to me from their distribution centre here in UK. Essentially makes it a no returns supplier.

Résultat : on me demande d’envoyer le colis en Australie. Le coût de l’envoi est d’environ 40 €. Pour un produit à 60 €, cela rend le retour quasiment impossible. C’est une technique claire pour décourager les retours, même si le droit de rétractation européen existe. Ils affichent des prix en euros, livrent en Europe depuis l'Europe, mais n’ont aucun centre de retour en Europe. Le client paie les frais internationaux, et le remboursement ne couvre pas ces frais. Je n’achèterai plus jamais sur ce site. Je recommande vivement aux clients européens de vérifier la politique de retour avant d’acheter : le coût de renvoi peut complètement annuler l’intérêt de l’achat. /// I bought a bag for €60 on Alpaka Gear’s European website from France. They display prices in euros and ship to Europe, but have no returns centre in Europe. The customer pays the international shipping costs, and those costs are not refunded. I will never buy from this website again. I strongly advise European customers to check the return policy carefully before ordering: the cost of sending the item back to Australia can completely wipe out any benefit of the purchase.

Return address is in Australia, meaning the costs are up to €60 to return an item. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. They offer prices in Euros, free shipping, and the sender/distributor address is in Sweden. But unfortunately, the warehouse is in Australia and the buyer is responsible for the costs.

Vorweg: mit den Produkten selber bin ich zufrieden. ABER ich hatte diesmal 2 Taschen bestellt und wollte mich zuhause Entscheiden, welche mir zusagt und die andere zurückschicken. Ich soll nun auf eigene Kosten, das Paket nach Australien verschicken. Für schlappe 50 Euro. Das ist frech. Der Support sagt mir, dass es keine andere Möglichkeit gibt. Daher werde ich dort nicht wieder bestellen, obwohl ich dort schon mehrere Sachen bestellt habe und zufrieden war...

Very happy with my new bag! Had some issues with the delivery due to their local shipping partner for the last stretch, but it was quickly resolved by the customer support. Great quality bag with well though out features and premium materials. Feels like it will last many years. Perfect for weekend trips and daily life.

I’ve owned several Alpaka bags over the years, and they’ve become my go-to brand for everyday carry. What keeps me coming back is the quality. The materials feel premium, the zippers are excellent, and every bag has a thoughtful, modern design that looks great without being flashy. But really it’s their support. They are quick to answer and is very good at finding solutions for ones requests. I’ve had several requests with them and have only been satisfied. One thing I’ve noticed is that every bag has its own personality. Some layouts took me a little while to get used to, but more often than not I’ve ended up preferring them after using the bag for a while. The Flight Sling Pro is a perfect example. It wasn’t what I expected initially, but it’s now the bag I carry every day. If I had one suggestion, it would be to showcase the interior layouts even more clearly on the product pages. The organization is one of the biggest differences between models, and it’s worth highlighting because it helps customers choose the right bag.

All items are overpriced, and it is a pain to return as they are based in Australia and they have no return centres in Europe. They are usually good at responding, and they have to accept returns because it is compulsory in Europe. The return delivery cost ends up being more than 30-40 Euros when returning from Europe. It is simply not worth it; their items are all made in China (with very slow delivery time) and are equivalent to other versions you can find on Amazon or other local sellers. As reported in other reviews, the quality is lacking.
