What a wonderful land tour of Alaska! Kathy, the tour director, was very knowledgeable of Alaska and told many Alaskan stories. The included food was great especially the delicious gourmet farewell dinner at the restaurant at the top of the tram in Girdwood. The two train rides on the Alaska Railroad were wonderful for the amazing scenery, delicious food, and the narrative given by the train guide. In Fairbanks the Museum of the North gave me an opportunity to explore Alaska’s five geographic regions through objects and artifacts. Alaska’s most important sport mushing was highlighted with an informative visit to a sled dog kennel. Our tour group all got to hold a husky puppy and received a picture documenting the experience. Seeing Denali from the hotel restaurant and from the jet boat excursion was awesome! The guided school bus ride into Denali National Park was memorable since we saw a moose and two caribou. The wild flowers were blooming everywhere especially the red fireweed. I

We used Alexander & Roberts to go on a Safari in Kenya. It was wonderful, from start to finish. The trip was magical, from the animals to the service!! Accommodations were top flight!! We will travel with them again!!

The Big 5 in Kenya is a once in a lifetime trip, which as a cliché, does not do this phenomenal trip justice. As Americans, we have no clue as to what abundant wildlife is really like. Beautiful country with beautiful people and spectacular animals. The tour was seamless and we were pampered the entire way!!! No hiccups and worth every penny we paid for the trip. You can tell Alexander + Robert (along with their partner Sense of Africa) has been an active participant in African Safaris for many years with experience that is clearly evident. We would travel with them again without a doubt.

I took a 2 week Alaska Expedition Cruise which was great. Everyday we went out in Zodiaks to examine some part of the area we were in. We saw Whales, Seals, River Otters and Sea Otters, Orcas and many bird species. Each day we also had a lecture related to the area and a hands-on science class. All activities were well thought out and you came away with information you did not know before the class. The small towns we visited were great and offered interesting side trips. The most unusual to me was the Tongass Botanical Garden walk. We are used to seeing lots of flowers and yet in Alaska, being a rainforest, there was lush green vegetation and lots of berries. Try the Salmon Berries! I enjoyed the cruise and would recommend it. The food was wonderful. Breakfast, lunch, and tea (which was really like a meal) were buffet style, then dinner was a sit down meal with 4 specials each day and a section called "Always available" on the menu.

We had long dreamed of visiting Peru and had actually booked this trip with A+R in 2019 and were within a couple of weeks of leaving in 2020 when Covid changed everything. We finally were able to go and it was worth the wait. A beautiful country, with beautiful people. A+R accommodations and logistics were all spot on, our guide for the bulk of the trip, Carlos, is a jewel of a man - knowledgeable, connected, funny, personable and made the trip even better. Machu Picchu is simply magical - all of the pictures we had seen before going and looking at the pictures we took afterwards, simply do not do it justice. A trip everyone should take some time in their lives.

Our trip to Peru with A+R was nothing less than outstanding. Our primary guide, Carlos, was the best guide imaginable - knowledgeable, attentive, entertaining and knew how to handle the curves that often crop up when traveling. Highly recommend Alexander + Roberts.

Overall great experience with excellent guides and great hotels in superb locations. The only glitch was one of the inland flights where 6 of us ( total 9) did not have a seat assigned but were on stand-by. While everything worked out well it was a stressful and unpleasant experience. All the next flights were fine and without a problem. The van drivers were very skilled and considerate as well.

It was a pleasure to travel with A&R. I typically do my own tour planning, but decided this time to hand it over to the professionals due to changing travel restrictions and Covid protocols. I’m so glad I did. Every detail was taken care of for us. Every time we stepped off a plane or train, there was an A&R representative there to greet us and whisk us away to the next location. The representatives and guides were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The planned activities and tours were interesting and relevant and I was even able to customize the itinerary a bit. The chosen accommodations were lovely. The drivers were fantastic at navigating narrow windy roads. I look forward to booking my next trip with A&R.
