Our person that gave us an incredible offer was really good at the start walked us down through the process on how to get started with this company instead of ADT and he added all the things we would get through the company. So we said we’ll sign on the spot but then he informed us before we signed that he didn’t have the smoke alarm that he promised so we told them we’re not signing until they have it. Later on he was trying to pressure us into signing the contract but we didn’t we still wanted to sign with them but when they have the equipment. So we waited and then ADT came back with another offer which was even better then there’s and we signed and we nicely let him know that we signed with them and he got mad and had an attitude towards my mom saying that she’s going to regret that and we’re going to call back and then hung up. So I wouldn’t never trust them again maybe next time they should just have the equipment they promised from the start ready.

Support is only M-F. Product is buggy and constant issues with sensors. If you are between this and AdT go ADT. My builder recommended alarm and will rip out shortly due the 2 years of constant issues

I did an interview with this company and they literally asked me if I basically did the job during my off-time. Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.

DO NOT USE THIS APP!!! Mine hasn't been working for weeks. I called them and they said to call my monitoring company. I called the monitoring company who said that ALARM.COM has a known outage. I called the customer service number and they said over 90 percent of their customers are having issues. No estimate of when it will be fixed. The customer service guy then literally hung up on me!

Equipment stuck on wall with wires exposed. Camers has good quality pictures, but only plays for less than a minute. May show person getting out of car then shuts off before you actually see what they are doing. If they are breaking into your house, you have no video of it. And there is no way to increase the video length.

A Great Product Held Back by Poor Software Design** It’s a shame that a company with such good hardware products falls short when it comes to their apps. A perfect example is the Apple TV app on a big screen TV: you can technically view all eight of my cameras, even as smaller thumbnails, but there’s no way to quickly jump to the one you actually need. Instead, the app cycles through them automatically, shifting just one camera at a time, with a minimum of 10 seconds between each shift. With eight cameras, four are effectively hidden at any given moment, and depending on where the cycle is, it can take up to 80 seconds before the camera I actually need to see comes into view. This is such a simple fix, yet it penalizes anyone with a larger camera system. I actually considered buying four more cameras, but switched to Nest instead, since it lets you view and select any camera instantly. Their customer support isn’t great either, but at least the core product works the way you’d expect. **Customer Support Concerns** Unfortunately, technical support doesn’t help matters. I’ve called multiple times specifically about this camera limitation issue, and no one seems to know anything about it — there’s no clear department or person who owns this problem. It’s as if the issue has fallen into a black hole internally. On top of that, extended hold times and callback delays of two days make getting any assistance a frustrating ordeal. **Bottom line:** Alarm.com makes great hardware — I own several of their products — but they don’t give you the tools to actually use it well. Give us the ability to tap a thumbnail to jump straight to that camera — but that only works if all cameras are visible on screen in the first place. Right now, it feels like nobody owns this. It’s as if the Apple TV app was built once and then abandoned, with no team actually responsible for maintaining or improving it. This is a critical flaw, not a minor annoyance. This matters most in an emergency: you’re watching the four visible cameras, don’t see the issue, and have to wait up to 80 seconds cycling through before the camera showing the problem comes up. By then, whatever you needed to see could be long gone. This isn’t a complicated fix — show all the cameras, let us tap to jump to any one instantly — and it’s frustrating that it doesn’t seem to be anyone’s priority. They limit you to viewing only 4 cameras at a time, which leaves you vulnerable to blind spots. **Do not use Alarm.com if you need more than 4 cameras.**

Alarm.com is great and stays on top of the details... I always feel like they have our Back .. !!!

The tech is just limited without paying for services. Super slow response when adjusting temps on the thermostat that were never an issue on nest, a doorbell cam that doesn't notify when movement is sensed (unless you upgrade your subscription) this is a standard feature on a $35 wyze camera with better features over all. I think 10 years ago all of this would make sense, but today it is too easy to install and set up all of these devices and control them through Amazon or Google and get more features without monthly subscriptions. Its a newer house so ill leave everything set up for a bit, but will eventually tear all this junk out and upgrade to better devices. I will say 1 thing, their phone support guy (im convinced its only 1 guy) is a Rockstar and a diligent employee, give that dude a raise.
