Service and delivery were great.

The Advantage Lumber staff are knowledgeable, courteous and friendly especially Ben and Marina. That said, every visit to the Sarasota, FL facility has been a good experience.

The product I chose was Cumaru for a 55x25 foot deck I built at my residence and it came out gorgeous! Tons of compliments from friends, family and neighbors and the service at Advantage Lumber was excellent, especially from Mark in sales! I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase from them again or refer them to anyone!

My purchase arrived quickly, was well packaged, and was completely to my liking.

Had 1 star negative experiences few times before so I contacted competitor IPEdepot to avoid past struggles with Advantage Lumber. Advantage Lumber is now advertising under another business name, IPEdepot, after placing my order they told me there the same company and promised no shipping problems like I had before. However Items were delivered unlike before but were 4 hours late, to some random address on the other side of town that Advantage Lumber provided UPS by mistake. It got resolved and by sundown, we finally got our delivery while paying 4 guys an hourly rate to wait all day long for it. The materials arrived in full but several pieces were damaged which salesman Matt agreed to credit on the next order. The UPS guy was nice but wanted $100 cash to move our materials to the end of his trailer so that we could reach the lumber to unload it all. A couple weeks later I placed the next customer order and requested the previously agreed credit to replace the damaged boards delivered to me and it was a struggle to get the promised credit even after emailing pictures of the damage. Matt the salesman eventually agreed to a partial credit for half the previously agreed credit 2 and stated he could only meet half the agreed credit because the new order was only for a few thousand bucks. Our previous order was for just under $20,000.00 so I figured I was a valuable customer and an even more valuable repeat purchasing deck & fence company. I'm very happy with the quality of the wood products, the price was good, and happy that Matt the salesman tried so hard to change my opinions of Advantage Lumber; however I feel slightly decieved that they are using IPEdepot as a loop hole to monopolize the IPE online market and the delivery issues that cost me hundreds in losses and the credit that didn't work out so well in my benefit was still kind of below average customer service overall. Pretty average experience ordering things online these days but it seems to be getting better. I like the selection and quality materials, pricing, and quick delivery. I will likely order here again and again and hopefully it will continue to get easier. Last 2 orders were pretty smooth.

There is no better company to do business with than Advantage Lumber. I had placed 2 substantial orders for Ipe wood in order to build a few decks at our weekend residence. I received the orders not only in a timely manner but, also at quite a discount. John Tarr, the representative that I was working with took genuine interest in my project and offered prompt and extremely helpful assistance from start to finish. The quality of the wood is first rate and the knowledge of the representatives is second to none. John Tarr truly went out of his way on several occasions in order to make things possible for me and for that I am truly grateful. First class people and company!
