I received a damaged bike and ActBest refused to help
The bike I received from ActBest had a damaged rim on the rear wheel. I sent pictures and a estimate of the repair cost after taking the bike to a repair shop because it had a rough ride and I didn't know what was wrong. The bike shop pointed out the damaged rim. After six weeks of emails where ActBest kept asking for the same information I had already provided, and then claimed that their delays were the result of a "computer glitch", they offered me $30 for a repair that cost $312 and said it was my fault because I hadn't told them about the problem more quickly. So, I bought a low cost ebike and ended up paying for a high cost ebike. I would definitely have bought a different bike if I had had a crystal ball and known how poorly they would treat a problem that they created.
Response from ActbestbikeMay 26, 2026
Dear Valued Customer, We are truly sorry to hear that your bike arrived with a damaged rim and that our response fell so far short of what you deserved. A six-week back-and-forth followed by a $30 offer on a $312 repair is not acceptable, and we take responsibility for shipping a product that was not in proper condition. We would like to make this right.
