I've had an absolutely terrible experience with this pharmacy. It's been three weeks since we submitted my son's prescription, and we still haven't received the medication. Every interaction leaves me more frustrated, as it's clear either they're misleading us, or they truly have no idea what's going on. The negative reviews are spot on—dealing with Accredo is a nightmare.

There is no hell like being chronically…
There is no hell like being chronically sick and at the mercy of a company like this with specialty medications, my experience with them is horrid and with how bad this went it feels illegal?!
When we switched to Accredo specialty pharmacy (not by choice but they covered my specialty meds) asked for a prior authorization to fill a specialty medication, after my doctor sent them 5 authorizations and sent our old specialty pharmacy 2 authorizations because a few Accredo reps asked that we do that to the confusion of the CVS specialty pharmacist, health advocate and myself.
CVS reps on the line would explain thats not how specialty med transfers work and that a previous specialty pharmacy has nothing to do with a patient's new one! When your'e sick and desperate you will do what they want even if it doesn't make sense.
Almost a month ahead of time we got ready for the new insurance to easily transfer everything for the medication to be approved.
I reached a serious breaking point and put in a state of emotional distress due to sitting by a phone 2-3 hours a day coming off treatment, losing my health progress, my work suffered, since I would try to multitask keeping Accredo on the phone, who would hang up if I asked them to hold a minute or so and restart the hold process all over again.
Every day I called started to feel like a waste of time and I tried to find alternatives to treatment…
After I clocked in a total of 23 hours of phone calls over the course of 2 months with the assistance of 2 different health advocates, Accredo transferred us to over 7 different departments and on the third month of missed treatment and many more hours of phone calls, it was later found that Accredo has a team for this particular medication, and they are the only ones who can view it or be notified?!
THEY HAD EVERYTHING THEY NEEDED TO FILL MY MEDICATIONS THE ENTIRE TIME AND I WENT WITHOUT TREATMENT FOR ALMOST 2 MONTHS FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON due to their IRRESPONSIBILITY and PURE NEGLIGENCE!
If we never spoke with the one random Accredo rep who pointed this out, I WOULD STIL BE WITHOUT MEDICATION even though it's COVERED and APPROVED!!!!!!!
Thank you Accredo for giving me PTSD and letting me know that even if you know a system well, pick a plan based on what I need covered it can all go up in flames and make me question life!

Be aware, stay away
This is by far the worst specialty pharmacy that I have ever worked with. I am only using them because of my insurance. I have been on the phone with them multiple times, countless hours, disrupting my work hours for the last month and still cannot receive my medication. While the reps on the phone are pleasant and understanding, there seems to be nothing that they can do to help. I don't know if it's lack of knowledge, incompetence or what, but billing does not know what they are doing. I have copay card assistance, and they keep telling me it's an issue with that. It is not. I have verified multiple times. It is on Accredo's side. I keep getting told the same thing over and over with no resolution. I gave them step by step instructions, read directly from the copay card assistance email, and they still can't get it right. They keep telling me there is a "mismatch". No, there is not. Again, I have verified this. I am about to be without meds. I don't know what else to do. I give up.

Doesn't get any worse than Accredo
Doesn't get any worse than this. Accredo is the most unorganized, irresponsible, and unqualified pharmacy I have ever delt with. I have had to use them off and on for the last 20 years and they are by far the worst.
I am shocked that they have whatever it is that allows them to fill prescription medication. I have been trying to fill a prescription since mid-April. Everybody I talk to gives a different excuse. I call Evey week and get the same BS. It's a revolving door. The doctor has sent multiple prescriptions and prior authorizations, but somehow Accredo always needs them Evey time I call. Calling weekly now and still getting nowhere. I found out today that my last prior auth. (that they kept on file anyway) was issued Jan 1st and expired May 14th. Since mid-April they gave me the run around about needing a prior auth from the insurance company wouldn't fill my prescription because they claimed I didn't have a prior authorization from the insurance company. I missed that dose because of their incompetency in doing their job. As of today, I'm still not getting my prescription and will miss yet another dose. I am grateful that this will only cause pain and discomfort and is not life threatening. If you have the choice of another pharmacy, don't use Accredo.

Stay away
Absolutely the worst experiences I’ve ever had trying to refill a monthly prescription. Acredo has had my coverage for six months, each and every month there’s been a problem getting the medication. When I’ve called they typically pass the buck by blaming the prescribing doctor or any one else they can think of. I’ve been told everything from no prescription was submitted, the doctor needs to call the drugs manufacturers before they can fill the prescription as well as being told today that the cancer center doesn’t answer their phones. Excuse after excuse some of which are flat out lies. In the meantime I go without my cancer fighting medication. Horrendous company, add me to the one star list.

Absolute Incompetence
I have tried for weeks to get my immunosuppressant medication only to get the run around. They need to get organized and realize they are playing with people's lives. To have this many negative reviews on the BBB, yelp and trust pilot. It does not make sense that you are still in business. If there is anyone in charge that reads this my message is: Please stop and look at what is going on. You are putting transplant patients and other that rely on these "Specialty Medications" lives in danger. I have gone without my immunosuppressant meds for days now due to your incompetence. Please try to do better, it does not have to be like this.

I’ve spent weeks trying to get my son’s life saving medication and Accredo seems to be holding it hostage. My insurance has approved it but Accredo keeps giving me different stories as to why it won’t go through. I’ve now sacrificed my own doses for him. They haven’t sent a refill in over 2 months!! This company is literally going to be killing people!

Absolutely horrible- there should be legal action
Just as every other review I see here, these people are horrible. They LOST my prescription so my follow up which is required within 28 days won't be here on time then I had to spend over 4 hours being passed around like a bowling pin at a clown convention. I would rather get a root canal in the driver license office than work with these fools again.
