Hi Geneva, I'm so sorry to hear you had difficulty reaching us and for any confusion caused. To clarify, the Ultimate Water Filtration System is designed to purify more than just tap water. The only types of water we do not recommend using with this system are saltwater or brackish water. However, if you purchased the Patriot Pure Pitcher, that particular unit is intended specifically for tap water only, as noted on the product page. Regarding your return, the processing time is determined by your financial institution, not by 4Patriots. While most institutions process refunds well before the 10-business-day mark, policies can vary, which is why we state up to 10 business days to account for all potential timelines.
