I have had my Voyager device a little more than one year. It has performed well for several trips. But I discovered the cooling unit wasn't working just before more travel. Support walked me through the checks needed and sent me a replacement cooler unit that arrived in time for travel. It got me through a long plane ride, several hotels without fridges and several hot car transfers perfectly!!!!!

The product simply does not work. I tested it with pharmaceutical grade thermometers, five of them, each time it went out of range - both too high and too low. One should not trust their medication is safe and effective when storing it in this device. It will spoil.

I bought an 4AllFamily Explorer for travel. The unit itself is strong & well designed. The flexibility of the Explorer makes it useful. On my recent trip, I used the included blue ice pack which kept my insulin about 38° fahrenheit the entire time. I was able to plug in the unit via the USB-C AC adapter, while in-flight. This worked great because normally, I’d have to set a timer to ensure I refreshed the ice. One of the hotel’s I stayed in had a refrigerator that turned off whenever I exited the room. No problem. I simply kept my Explorer plugged into the wall outlet and didn’t touch it for a week. This kept my insulin at ≈41° Fahrenheit. This is reassuring, since, if your power goes out, you can safely keep your insulin chill by hooking the unit up to a power pack using the included (USB-C to USB-A adapter). Yes, you can also put regular ice in it for a 2 to 4 hours if needed. On a side note, I’ve heard from other type 1 diabetics that you don’t to refrigerate insulin. However, when traveling, you want to keep your backup insulin cold, because insulin at room temperature lasts only 28 days. I highly recommend the Explorer. I won’t travel without it.

The company stands behind their product. My product failed close to the one year and they kindly replaced the unit. We use it regularly for overseas trips and it works wonderfully.
