beware, they are not trustworthy.
i purchased a cooler from 4allfamily.com what i was charged at the end of the transaction was one number. when i went to my bank to see if the transaction had cleared, i saw that i was charged $1.19 more than what was on my receipt. i contacted the company and they told me that it was possibly a foreign transaction fee. i contacted my bank, who told me that it was absolutely NOT a foreign transaction fee, but was a charge by the vendor. i let them know what the bank said, and they gave me some cockamamie story about how "While 4ALLFAMILY ships orders within the United States from US-based warehouses, our headquarters are located in Europe. Because of this, some financial institutions may apply an additional processing or international transaction fee, even when an order is placed in US dollars and the transaction appears to originate in California." NOWHERE on their website does it say that you are making a foreign purchase and could be charged a fee. the bank assured me that i was NOT charged a foreign transaction fee, that it was coming from the vendor. their inability to accept responsibility for this fee means that they essentially stole money from me, and whilst it's not a large amount of money, it's still my money nonetheless. beware of purchasing directly from them. they do not take responsibility for the overcharge and will blame it on the bank. EDITING TO ADD: the company has now contacted me twice saying that even though the overcharge is not their "fault" (once again, blaming my bank, despite my bank telling me that there were NO fees added by my bank in any way), they would be willing to refund me the overcharged amount if i remove this review. i won't be removing this review, i think that it's important to know that if you purchase directly from them, you may be charged additional fees or more than what was on your receipt at checkout. their products can be purchased on amazon, and at target and other places. buyer beware. EDITED TO ADD: they have told me that they have refunded the overcharge. EDITED TO ADD: the company has responded, they are missing the point. 1. they do not indicate on their website that you are purchasing from a foreign entity and that you may be charged a fee from your bank. 2. i spoke to my bank, they told me that because of the type of charge, an ach debit, and looking at the full charge history, there was no foreign transaction fee, and no bank fees assessed. i have a relationship with my bank and my personal banker, of course i'm going to believe what they tell me over some random company on the internet who keep insisting that i am wrong. the customer experience is vital. my customer experience was bad. i'm letting people know here in this review. 3. the DID ask me to remove my review (twice, in 2 separate emails) in order to get refunded the overcharge, that's extortion. they came back later and said that they would not ask me to remove the review and would refund the money, but that it was still a bank fee. their product is vital for people who need to travel with injectable medication that needs to remain cool at a certain temp. people should know what they are getting when they deal with this company. people should know that they can buy their products somewhere else other than directly from them. i wish i'd done that, but i wanted to give the direct vendor my business. i won't make that mistake again. the right thing to do would have been for them to say, "geez, we're sorry you got over charged, that can happen because we're a foreign company and the bank could have charged a foreign transaction fee, let us refund that for you." i'd have known better for next time, and i'd have been a customer for life and sang their praises. but it didn't go that way and now this is the consequence of my bad customer experience. the bank told me that they were a california company, they told me that they were a california company. they need to disclose VERY clearly on their webiste that they are not a US company for anyone purchasing from the US. blaming me and blaming my bank and telling me that my bank is lying to me is not the way. once again, buyer beware.

Hello Lisa, Hope you are doing well and thank you very much for your review. I am writing this reply to give a final explanation to you alongside other customers, who at least want to trust us by also make some research on their own to find out that what we are stating is nothing more than the truth. To make it clear, our business is incorporated in Europe even though we also sell in the USA. Therefore, I want to inform everyone that some credit/debit cards can charge what it is called: FOREIGN TRANSACTION FEE (You can simply google it and everything will be clear). Therefore depending on the type of card that the bank has provided you, you may have such small fee and in some cases it will show separately on your statement and in other cases it may also show together as one sum. The bank representative may not understand the situation at first, as they may think it is an order within the USA and may not give you the correct information either. But to be clear, you would simply need to ask the bank a document where it shows all your card fees, and there you may see this foreign transaction fee stated over there. That is how you prove it and not only by asking a representative what it is. Because we do not understand with all the respect, why someone is willing to trust the bank representative and not our representative, where we are a very customer oriented company and even though we have not charged a single penny more, we have refunded that amount as a gesture of goodwill from our money and not from what the bank's card fee has charged you. We declare with full responsibility that we have not charged a single penny more than what is stated on checkout page, as there is no way we could charge more either, and we hope to have the understanding of the people who at least are willing to simply give this a few seconds google search to understand what we are referring to. This may happen to some cards and not all of them depending what type of card you have from the bank and the fees they set to it. Thank you very much everyone for your attention and understanding and thank you Lisa for bringing this situation here. Even though after all we tried you are not willing to believe us, we at least hope that it will help other people be clarified at least... If there is anything else we can help you with, please do not hesitate to contact us anytime as we would be more than happy to help you. Yours and sincerely, 4Allfamily Team
