I placed an order through a representative for contacts with an rx within 2 years for close-up only, and was purchasing these as a gift. The day AFTER they were supposed to be delivered, I receive an e-mail stating the order needs to be cancelled, as the rx is for glasses! What? I looked at the rx, it states right on there an area that is completely filled in for contact lenses. Thanks for screwing up my gift!!

They have a price match option called "best price guarantee", but when I sent them a competitor's price they kept saying they can't honor it because it was somehow related to google. I had a link that worked in private mode across multiple browsers using a VPN and they still denied the listed price was legit! They were trying to charge $370 when EZcontacts.com was only charging $159 (obviously I purchased from the competitor!) Total scam, complete fraud. I've opened a complaint against them with the state attorney general.

They took my cc and put a hold on it. THEN proceeded to tell me that I'd chosen the wrong contacts. So I had to wait for a few days while my $400.00 was tied up. I'll never use this draconian service. What can they do to improve? Ensure the order is correct before taking people's money.

To do the online eye exam they want my location and access to my camera and a picture of my face LOL Absolutely NOT! Bye!

Gives you the option to manually input your prescription. But doesn’t honor it. Instead they say it needs to be verified. This negates the next day shipping you pay for and it isn’t refunded. So it’s an elaborate unscrupulous way to make more money.

I tried their online vision test Express Exam for a prescription renewal. I paid the $20 and followed the instructions and if approved you'll be sent your renewed RX in about two business hours. They encouåçrage you to place an order for contacts right away and they will ship once your RX is approved. I opted not to place an order until my RX was renewed. A full day went by then they sent an email claiming the image quality on my RX I uploaded was poor. They also encouraged me in another email to place my order for the contacts so they wouldn't be delayed. I did not. My RX picture was perfectly lit and readable but okay. They asked me to retake the exam (I called to make sure this wouldn't cost me. It was free as long as I clicked through the link in the email) I thought it was odd they didn't ask for me to re-upload my prescription pic again or enter it manually since that seemed to be the issue. I waited yet ANOTHER day for them to get back to me. Not two business hours. They sent me an email saying my prescription was expired and they couldn't send my contacts without a valid prescription. What?! That's the reason I was renewing. It was too much. I started to wonder if it was a scam. I contacted customer service for a refund and it processed a few days later. I paid $35 for an FDA approved online vision test. The process similar to Express exam through 1800 contacts, uploaded the same RX pic and I received my renewed prescription in less than 2 hours. No issues. I gave 3 stars because the customer service agent was very understanding and professional. This was my first experience with 1800 contacts.

This company is terrible. I ordered two boxes of contact lenses (90 day supply) which should have been $160. Instead they overcharged me for a year's supply at $800 (after a 20% off introductory offer) and told me it would take 3-10 business days to release the funds back to my card. In the meantime they still charged me the $160 to fulfill the correct order.
