1-800 ContactsReviews of 1800contacts.com

Another company that lies about their price match policy. Found the contacts much cheaper elsewhere and they tell me "oh, that's a new customer discount, so we can't honor it." I say it doesn't say new customer discount anywhere, just special online price and they tell me nothing they can do. I start a new chat with someone else and she tells me an entirely different story - this time, it's not new customer discount, it's "google pricing" and not offered to everyone so they can't offer it. They find an excuse every time to not match prices, so their "guarantee" is worthless.

I found online deals with other online retailers & 1800 Contacts would not match prices nor work with me in any way, to reduce the retail price of precision 7 for astigmatism & this awful service was given by a supervisor. As it turns out I'm glad they disappointed as I was able to buy a year's supply with my local doctors office and receive a $100 rebate, a ten percent discount because I'm covered by VSP & use my insurance directly. After over 10 years I'm calling it quits with 1 800.

Do not order from 1800 contacts. I used them for over 15 years and I accidentally hit the enter button when ordering and they have it set to the max amount. I immediately cancelled it and reordered. Well they then had my account locked. I've been trying to get it resolved and nobody can seem to resolve it. So, now I have to go somewhere else for contacts. They lost a long time customer!!!

To everyone considering using 1-800-Contacts, DON'T DO IT. They have never sent a rebate check, even though I've been following up with them for 3 months now. They continue to say it's in process, but the rebate check still hasn't arrived. It seems to be an ongoing tactic of the company, to just wait the customer out so hopefully you just give up. Untrustworthy and deceptive.

They have messed up every single order I’ve ever placed. Shipped to my address from years ago AFTER having received orders at my new address. If I tell you I moved, and ask you to send an order to my new address, wouldn’t you think I’d want all future orders at that new address too? Most recently they reached out to a doctor I haven’t seen in 4 years to verify a prescription he did not write… and it took them so long to reach out to the RIGHT doctor that my prescription expired, and it was DENIED. The customer service reps are complete idiots. They have no clue what they’re doing. Don’t bother using this for your contacts, go to Costco

The USPS lost my contacts order. I spent 2 weeks fretting because I'd used all my insurance coverage on that order and contacts are expensive. I didn't need to worry though because apparently 1800contacts' has a guarantee that also covers lost contacts. BUT not only did they replace the contacts free of charge, they overnighted them to my house free of charge. Seriously. I called them at 5pm and the contacts were on my porch at 10am. That is next level customer service and I sincerely appreciate it.

First off they're quite more expensive than their competitors they say they match however they renege on their rebates and refuse to honor it. So basically what they're saying is they can charge you and inflated amount for the same product but refuse to give you a rebate that they brag about customer service was quite rude also

Represents that it guarantees to beat a price but then refuses. Their prices are higher than their competitors. No way will I buy from this company- false advertising!
