I have purchased a number of items from the Milk Street Store all of which were satisfactory. I recently purchased a non-slip mat for a cutting board. Well it does slip-- a lot. A dampened kitchen towel is far superior. I contacted customer service. I was informed that all sales are final unless a product arrives damaged. Basically it's a buyer beware business model. Not what one would expect from a premium webstore.

I bought a $70 Japanese cleaver from Milk Street and was very happy with it. But after 1 plus years of careful use, the edge began falling apart. There are now chunks of the blade missing. Milk Street asked me to send a picture, I did and they said sorry, it's almost 2 years old - beyond their warrantee. I expected it to last a lifetime. Try Amazon, they have good looking & inexpensive cleavers.

On November 29th I canceled my subscription and received confirmation that I photographed. On December 6th they charged by credit card for the subscription I canceled. When I caught the charge, I emailed them without response. I had to go back in and re-cancel my subscription but now charged a fee. Do not trust this company.

Delivery was over 3 weeks late. Iberico ham came lukewarm with no refrigeration at all. I wish i had read the earlier reviews alleging fraud! So far, I've not heard back about a refund.

Not even one star. Their customer service is the worst!!!! I have tried and tried and tried to get a password reset, and no one has help me one bit. I am cancelling and wish all to know to NOT do business with Milkstreet.

I had a one year subscription that was supposed to end in December but was charged for another year in October. I emailed and called and they just kept saying they always pre charge. After me explaining that it was only 10 months into a 12 mo subscription, the help desk said that's how we charge. After this loop went on 10 mins I just canceled. The recipes are wonderful the website and its practices are fraud.

On 9/17/2022 Milk Street charged my Visa for $31.95 for a book I did not order. I sent an email on 9/20 requesting the order be cancelled due to an unauthorized purchase. The reply was that I could send the product back and they would credit my Visa. Since then have phoned the company twice and sent emails requesting a return address label, as I am unwilling to pay postage to return product that Milk Street did not have authorization to send. As of this date, I have not received a return address label. I am requesting 1) a prepaid return label be emailed to me, and 2) a full refund of $31.95 on my Visa.
