I am currently a college student studying design and I was trying to figure out how to get my portfolio somewhere online. Then I had the idea to create a website with all of my pieces and graphics on there. I had no idea how to create a website and where to get a domain. I live in southern California so I had heard from my friends about 101domain. I called them one afternoon and they were able to talk me through buying a domain and how to host and build the site. Incredible customer service from everyone there. Highly Recommended!!

Hey, I got a couple of domains from 101domain and had a great experience. I had a few specific ccTLDs that I wanted and their team was super helpful in connecting me with a trustee so I could get them. Awesome service!

Worst registrar on the entire planet!! Go with anyone else. They won't return your money, even when they sell domains that can't be registered (you instead might get store credit...if lucky). This place is open about 10 hours a week and no one will answer a phone. Its totally "amateur hour".

Hi Snap Count, Please send us a domain in your account so we can investigate the issue and find a better solution! You can reply here or email us at [email protected]. It is rare that we do not offer refunds on domains that cannot be registered, as long as it is within a reasonable timeframe. We would like to see what we can do to turn your experience into a positive one. For future reference, we are available on the phone Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm PST (San Diego). We offer live chat on our site Sunday - Friday 8am - 5pm PST (San Diego). You can also open a support ticket in your account. We are working towards offering 24/7 support, something we hope to be able to do soon. In the meantime, we want to thank you for your patience in this matter! Best regards, 101domain

I have owned domains with 101domain for a few years. I was never been impressed by their service, or prices, and I have slowly let domains expire that I no longer need. A few days ago they renewed one of my domains for $199/yr - TWO months prior to the domain actually expiring. I wrote them on the day they renewed the domain and asked for them to cancel the renewal, and refund the money to my credit card. It took them 4 days to respond, and they REFUSE to refund the renewal fees, even-though the domain does NOT even expire to mid-August, and it is mid-June now. I have bought domains for 25 years from all the legitimate registrars, and have NEVER seen anything like this before. My best guess is they are going out of business, and scamming clients where they can to keep the lights on. Don't get scammed like I did.

Hi Softrade Reza, we understand your frustration in this matter, but it sounds as though you have been with us long enough to know how auto-renew works. You let some of your domains expire, but you had auto-renew enabled on this domain which indicates that you wanted it to be renewed. If not, auto-renew would have been disabled as it was with your other domains. We do not scam our customers. Auto-renew exists to protect our customers from accidentally letting their domain names expire. If this were to happen you could lose your domain name indefinitely, or have to pay a restoration fee to recover it. Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for domain names that are set to auto-renew. Best regards, 101domain
