I recently purchased the whistler ws-1040 and a pack of four rechargeable batteries from zip scanners and it was a great little scanner but i am new to scanner radios and it proved difficult for me to program. So i sent it back with little effort and no questions asked and purchased the whistler ws-1080 which is a lot easier to operate right out of the box within about 2 minutes i was scanning my county. I would have given 5 stars but the batteries I received only last about 3 hours so I purchase my own rechargeable batteries and they last over 12 hours.

Got my DCD536HP to me fast. I could have bought my scanner else where but read how good Zip Scanners were so thought I would try them. They were super good to buy from. Will buy from them again on my next purchase.

I have owned GRE scanners in the past and was looking for a hand held digital trunking scanner and this seemed a logical choice. After unboxing, installing the batteries and programming it was off and running. Good build quality and fairly easy to use. If you listen to 800/900 MHz systems you have to get the Remtronix 800/900 MHz antenna. The stock duck works ok, but the Remtronix is by far and away better! No regrets buying this scanner....it handles all of my needs and more.

When I got my scanner I did not like it to good. They are hard to program, but when you get it programed they are the best. Zip scanners are the best they are so nice and helpful. If you need a scanner get one from Zip scanners, they are a five star company.

I bought a Uniden Bearcat scanner from Zip and everything went well. The scanner works great and I'm very happy I ordered from Zip. These guys really want you to have a good experience from ordering online to packaging to the final scanner performance. They even called me at home to see if I had any questions or concerns! Who at Amazon would do that?? Any future purchases will definitely be with Zip Scanners. Please trust them with your next scanner.

Easy order, quick shipping, good price only hitch was terrible order status info. Radio arrived before tracking #, kinda important when you need to be around to sign for it.
