From their well-designed and informative website, to the live chat assistance, to the ordering (had a laugh at that "your order has shipped" email) and the free/fast shipping, everything was most excellent with Zip Scanners! I appreciated Zip Scanners' straight-forward and detailed information and helpful responses to my pre-ordering questions. I can tell the good people at Zip Scanners genuinely want the buyer to be well-informed and to have a great experience and, ultimately, happy with their purchase. As an aside, I purchased a Whistler TRX-1 and, although there is a learning curve (I am a first time scanner buyer), I had it up and running in no time--first using the set location feature (yep, it works!), and soon after also with the Whistler software for WIndows. The Windows was a little more challenging as I had to get a scanner driver to install (thanks to radioreference.com forums), but I now have this all running smoothly as well. Within 24 hours of unboxing my scanner, it has the current CPU firmware and libraries installed and I am scanning everything that I want. So, yeah, happy to give this whole experience five stars! Very satisfied with the product. Took about a month to figure out a number of things to get it to scan what was interesting to me. However, the customer interface with the Zip Scanner web site, once an order is placed, needs some serious work. "Chatting" on line with a rep clearly showed me that the rep had no idea how anything worked at the company related to order placement and processing. The web site said that I would be receiving an email confirming my order; that never happened. My credit card was charged on the same date as the order was placed, however the product was not shipped until a few days later. Most reputable internet shopping sites process the charge on the day the order is shipped. To this day (8/6/16) the website still reports my 6/30/16 order as "Processing" yet I actually received the order 7/7/16. Zip Scanner really needs to pay attention to the details of their order entering, processing and customer interface process. Then they would warrant a much higher rating in my opinion.

The associate at Zip Scanners tracked the package for me when it was rerouted and made sure I knew when I could pick it up at its alternate delivery site. This was totally unexpected. (Shout out to Nixon!) Zip Scanners was very friendly, accessible and attentive to my needs. I have no problem recommending them to anyone. It is obvious to me that customer service is very important to the folks who work at Zip Scanners.

I ordered Whistler's most expensive scanner, the TRX-2. It arrived in only 2 business days and packaging was in good condition. They also gave free shipping. Unfortunately my TRX-2 did not work properly and had to be exchanged. This was thru no fault of Zip Scanners. The real test was how fast they would respond to me and swap the defective scanner for another. I called and spoke with them, and I had a return label in my email the next day. I packaged up the bad one, sent it back, and had the new scanner within one week. Now I have a new scanner and it seems to be working just fine. I would truly give Zip Scanners an A+. Take a look at their prices, read their return guarantee, then buy from them. A defective product is not their fault, but they came thru above and beyond where it mattered most - swapping out a defective product. I would certainly buy from them again without reservation.
