Had them for about a year put our first claim in and denied, A bad infection which they would not cover. Had two doctors write letters that stated that there denial was wrong based on science as they claimed the infection came from a procedure a couple of months before the infection. That procedure even though we had zion health was also not covered but we knew that before hand but the infection had nothing to do with the procedure, Again this was documented and sent to Zion appeals by 2 specialized infection disease doctors. and denied again, they could not even state in there handbooks where it would not be covered in fact it stated it was covered. Thus we cancelled our membership spend $475 a month for nothing at all.

Zion Health Share is crooked
Zion Health Share is crooked. They do not know what they are doing with billing. They state I had not paid for two months. I verified I had paid. Then they billed me through their administrator Planstin who verified that I was paid in full. I cancelled and they continued to bill me. Then I had an ER visit with 4 days left in my paid month with them and they will not honor the payment of an ER visit as I am no longer with them.
Stay away from these crooks.

Use caution when selecting a HealthShare company; choose the wrong one, and you might pay with your life.
I received a diagnosis from a doctor for a health condition I had. It happened about 4 years ago, and was the result of an assault.
I’ve lived with that painful condition for this whole time. But I knew what it was; and I decided to live with it rather than have surgery.
We signed up with Zion almost a year ago. Shortly after signing up, I went to see my new concierge doctor and mentioned the ongoing health condition. He sent me to a specialist, who said the condition was a tumor. This is absolutely not what I was told by the first doctor; and the symptoms I had had for 4 years had not changed since the assault and then the diagnosis.
It turned out to be cancer. And Zion decided that since I had symptoms before we signed up - though I knew for a fact these were from the assault and had no way of ever even imagining anything had changed medically since that diagnosis - they will not cover the cancer treatments.
Without assurance that my treatment will be covered by an insurance company, I can’t get the chemotherapy I was supposed to get.
The type of cancer I have is known for spreading rapidly; and it has spread, and the doctors think it will continue to spread.
Right now, they believe I could be healed (with proper treatment) within 3 months. But because Zion has denied I’m starting with nothing to try to get what I need, while precious time slips by.
I just wanted to warn others: if you have been properly diagnosed by a medical professional with a certain type of illness, but it either turns out the doctor was wrong, or the illness somehow changed at some unknown time into something else, Zion most likely will not cover your problem.
Please consider saying a prayer for me, that the cancer will not spread any more than it already has as we try to figure out what to do next. We trusted in the wrong sources, and I might end up paying with my life.
