While the Zillow platform is very good for finding properties, and specifics of same, their security and vetting of brokers is simply horrible. I was approached by a “broker” listed on Zillow. He wanted to buy vacant land. Did a Docusign, he never placed the EMD, never made closing, and then (after tracking him to the cell phone repair store he owns….) I learned he had been arrested overseas. I followed with the state licensing department, to learn he is not licensed, yet Zillow allows him to list himself as a “broker”. I tried, four different times, to put a truthful review on the guys Zillow page, but the moderators won’t allow you to speak unkindly about any broker on their site. People Should be aware that Zillow has zero safeguard against fake brokers, and they won’t even follow with this guy to ask him about licensing, which every state requires.

Horrible for rental managers. Lack of support, repeated attempts to request call-back. System denies postings with no ability to talk to a human. Worthless service

Zillow's listing history from a vacant lot has significantly impacted my home resale. Prior to the builder purchasing to build a home on it, it was listed up and down for years. This is now creating questions upon resale of an actual house. Reaching out to Zillow, their "Policy" says they will not remove irrelevant information.

We found a property we own listed for sale by owner on Zillow. It was a scam as we did not list the property. We made 7 attempts to contact Zillow to inform them of the fraud but only got computer generated responses. Listing is still up and we hate that someone may lose some money because Zillow just doesn't care. NEVER USE THEM.

It's frustrating to see that these housing agencies seem more focused on maximizing profits from application fees than on genuinely assisting potential renters. My husband and I both have stable jobs and excellent credit, yet we find ourselves navigating an automated system with little to no human interaction. The lack of a personal touch is disheartening, especially since we have submitted our application and are unsure why they require us to upload a picture. We are still waiting for a callback from Maymont, but no one is answering the phones—it's all automated.

I received a listing for a property with an inaccurate price. In fact, the price of the property was double that of what was shown in the email. I attempted to report the listing but to no avail. I followed instructions as directed by the help section and there is no option to report the listing under the Contact Agent section as it directed. So, I attempted to deactivate my account and give reasons as to why I was deactivating. Errors displayed multiple times during my attempts.
