Both the customer service and the product that Zager makes is second to none! I purchased the ZAD-80CE Aura Black Special Edition "Johnny Cash" acoustic electric guitar and I couldn't be happier. It is an amazing guitar with a beautiful rich sound and excellent build quality. It is easier to play than my Martin D-18E and procuces a crystal clear sound. Thank you Denny Zager for making such an amazing instrument.

Thank you Jolene. I could not be happier with an acoustic purchase. Particularly the tonal woods of cedar and rosewood ...such a unique combination. I own a 100% koa Washburn, a 100% mahogany D17 Martin, and a Sitka/rosewood 00032 Martin. Love these combinations. All very different tonals.

Music is as necessary to me as breathing. The way I scratched that itch was with a trio of guitars. In a stunning betrayal, those I trusted stole them for drugs. I was utterly devastated. While perusing the web I saw a blurb about Zager guitars. I checked out the website and one model just sang to my muse. I ordered it and today "she" arrived. Yep, that's anthropomorphic. She is more beautiful than I expected. It is crystal clear that love, competence, and just plain artistry went into making this instrument. I tuned her and played her and I cried because her voice, even newly constructed, is sweet and softly but clearly toned. I count myself blessed to be able to play again and I thank Denny Zager, Sr., and Denny Zager Jr. for such a gorgeous instrument. Just so you know the other guitars included a Gibson and a Fender. This guitar is their equal if not superior in playability, resonance, and rich tone. Just think: She will get better with age!

Exceptional quality guitar with a focus on playability, sound quality and craftsmanship. I personally got the Zad900ce and the look and feel of this guitar is fantastic. The sound is rich and resonates throughout. It just sounds more full, one note leads into the next with the previous note still resonating inside the guitar and it never feels empty or flat. I’ve been playing for 18 years the zad900 has the best sound quality of any guitar I’ve personally played. It’s a guitar you’ll want to keep for a lifetime.

’m not being paid for this is just my honest opinion but i just got my Zager Zad50CE Vintage Sunburst ~ it’s an absolutely beautiful instrument and sounds equally as good. Awesome! The craftsmanship is top notch. The wood selection is great and inlays are stunning. What they say about “easy play” is definitely correct. It’s setup perfectly and you’ll find yourself playing longer without the pain. I can now officially say that there’s only two types of acoustic guitar players. Those that have a Zager, and those that need one. Get one, you won’t be disappointed! Might be treating myself to a ZAD900CE f/s 50th anniversary sunburst for Christmas 👍🏻

A beautiful, well-made guitar with easy playability and great sound, I highly recommend Zager guitars. My guitar is over 20 years old, looks like new and sounds better as rime goes by.

Terrible customer service! I ordered a travel size guitar in June 2024, I realized that the guitar was backordered when I ordered and at that time it was going to be shipped out in July 2024 but as of September 6, 2024 they had not shipped my order. When I contacted Zager (which at times no one would respond) or I would get an email stating that my order was being expedited. There was no date as to when my order would ship, and my order status on their website showed that it was ready and on its way to me but no tracking number was provided. After waiting through the month of July, I called the first week of August and after leaving an exasperated message for someone to please explain what is going on, I received a phone call letting me know parts for the guitar was backordered so the guitar would not be shipped until the end of August. I decided to wait. I called August 26, (a Monday) and spoke to a woman asking if my order would be shipped soon, she said my guitar would ship this week. On August 30th (a Friday) still no shipping information or communication. I called on August 30, and was able to speak to a gentlemen who explained that it would probably be another 2 to 3 weeks. I decided enough was enough and called back and requested a refund, the woman I spoke to said my refund would take 3 to 5 days but as September 6 no refund was processed to my credit card. I called Zager again and left a message asking why a refund had not been processed, I received a call back stating that they will process a refund but it will take 1 to 3 days. Not trusting what she said, I contacted my credit card company and started a claim against Zager. It was obvious that my orginial request for a refund had not been done August 30. I was a returning customer after purchasing a guitar last year with Zager and at THAT time it took several calls to get my guitar to ship but I finally recieved it. Too bad Zager treats their customers this way, they make beautiful guitars, but I not be purchasing any more guitars from Zager, it's just not worth the headache!!
