I bought the Mig-250 Pro to weld…
I bought the Mig-250 Pro to weld aluminum and wires and All around (panorama) auto-darkening Yeswelder helmet to learn to weld aluminum to build my truck camper. I am a weekend warrior for welding not a pro welder. I was surprised to find my new powerful 220v/250 welder wouldn’t even spark (arc) when i touched the ground with my mig gun in flux welding mode. I didn’t know new welders now have a safety feature that you need to pull the trigger in addition to shorting it. I used to surprise myself when I accidentally touch my Old 120v/100amp flux welder gun with the metal connected with ground clamp. This is also true for this new technology machine under Mig welding. The Stick welding and Tig welding mode no trigger to pull so just short it and get sparks (arc). I was told Mig-250 Pro does not work with Tig torch gun so I haven’t tested the function. In the process of replacing the flux wire with aluminum wire and install U roller and teflon liner for aluminum wire. Will start aluminum MIG welding soon, so i will update my review shortly. The auto-darkening yeswelder look very pretty and allow me to see clearly. A must have to better your welding-highly recommended. The user manual may be improved to help beginners and weekend warriors like myself. Watch YouTube videos and you will see how easy it is to learn to weld when you have the right tools.
