No words in the English language to describe what an amazing trip I had! Ya'alla tours took care of everything and not for a moment was wasted not knowing where to go, or what to expect. The tour guide was amazing and she knew not only history of the places we visited in the Holy Land, but also the Bible! She was witty, funny, respectful, caring and so smart. I also like that Ya'alla always responded in very good time with any issues and very respectful in all aspects which is important when trusting in someone for an international trip and expensive one. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this a pleasant and smooth trip! I'd recommend Ya'alla to anyone and already have!

Enjoyed the tour and would have liked to have more time at some of the sights. Often seemed rushed in order to get everything in.

Thank you, Sylvia! You were indeed on a busy tour. In large groups, many want to see as much as possible, others prefer a slower pace. We try to strike a balance.

While the tour was most efficiently managed by the tour guides, too many sites were crammed into the dates. It felt like we were being hearded like cattle from one location to the next and rarely able to truly enjoy the sites, reflect, or photograph points of interest. A minimum of 15-20 minutes should have been allowed for tourist to visit points of interest to them when taken to sites rather tha listening to the tour guide’s lectures and then being hearded to the next site. Some older people were totally exhausted by the third day. People who may have veared from the group got left and on one occasion a family group had to catch a taxi because one of the family members had to use the restroom and was left by the tour bus. Everyone who goes on such group tours should make sure the tour guide gives them his or her cell phone number and the guide should have each tourist cell phone number just in case someone is not with the group when departing from sites. Also, more time is needed for restroom breaks. A bus with a lavatory on it would be highly recommended and desirable. Otherwise, job well done.

Dear Gary and Evangeline, Thank you for your comments and suggestions. We sincerely value your input. Your program was very full, no doubt about it. In large groups, it's difficult to satisfy all participants when it comes to pace. We find that many group travelers want to see as much as possible, with the expectation that they may not have the opportunity to return. Ultimately, it's up to the tour leader to decide which and how many sites to include. If people were left behind at sites, this is a problem. It's our responsibility to keep track of all of our travelers. In the case of the family you mentioned, it's our understanding that they intentionally left the group because a member of the family was ill. Nevertheless, it's a good idea for all travelers to have the mobile phone number of their guide. We will have them distribute their cards to travelers in future. We do include local contact numbers in each passenger's travel documents, but that doesn't include the guide's number because sometimes the guide assignment will change at the last minute. There are no tour buses in Israel with lavatories because the distances between sites or possible restroom stops are short. Guides and drivers should always make it clear to their passengers the amount of time between one scheduled stop and the next. They should also make it clear that unscheduled stops are possible, when necessary.
