Wyndham WorldwideReviews of wyndhamworldwide.com

Every thing about this company is reprehensible. During a sales meeting we noticed the saleswoman would leave the room when she wasn’t getting what whe wanted from us. She would come back and steer the conversation “mysteriously” towards something we had discussed while she was gone. She was using her cell phone to eavesdrop! She would leave her phone in the room with us, then go out and listen to our private conversations. The cost of this “vacation point” package has gotten so high we can’t afford to do things we want. So, when we contacted Wyndham about selling the points back, we were told one of our contracts wasn’t even worth enough for them to re-sell!! We are paying fees and mortgage on something Wyndham admits is worthless.

My wife and I experience with Wyndham and their employees can only be described as harassment. The dishonesty, deceptive sales tactics, false statements, and outright fraud we experienced is unbelievable. Originally, we were offered a free meal to attend their sales presentation but in hindsight, I wish I had just paid for my own lunch. Their employees told us that by purchasing a Wyndham timeshare we would be making a real estate investment that would continue to earn us rental income, we would have access to Disney theme parks and resorts with their points, and that we could travel worldwide on this membership. NONE OF THIS WAS TRUE. Instead, we are left with a mountain of fees that were never disclosed, the inability to make any reservations, and have already spent more than $7,000! To top it off, their employees never told us that there was a specific cancellation period allowed to us by law. Now we are stuck in this unending cycle and Wyndham has not responded to our requests to "cancel and refund our money". Take my advice and just buy your own lunch and save yourself the headache.

They promise the world to you and don't follow through. A free cruise was offered and both of us was happy and then said it wasn't. We're now onerers of the lying Wyndham resorts. Years of loving Wyndham and now they broke my heart. The manager said he gives his dad free trips all the time and yes a promise to you and he keeps it.

I am an US active-duty service member that was defrauded by Wyndham at one of their scam sales presentations. Do not make the same mistake I did. This timeshare has turned into a cancer. I was invited to one of their timeshare sales presentations with the promise it would be brief. It was not - instead it was 4+ hours of hell where they bombarded us with too many salespeople to count on breaking us down into purchasing their worthless product. They even took IDs from my wife and I at check-in and did not give them back so there was no way we could leave! There were so many lies! They claimed the timeshare held long term value and would be an asset passed to our kids. It is not an asset; it is a long-term liability we unfortunately will pass on to our kids! They ran our credit multiple times stating they were trying to get us the best deal possible. The deal was terrible, and the interest rate turned out to be very high. When we questioned this, they said we could refinance it at our bank, but we later learned that banks do not finance timeshares. They never went over the loan details so we did not even know what the payment would be; turns out we will be paying as much in interest as to the principle which made the monthly payment amount a very unpleasant surprise when we got the first bill. I was being deployed to Italy and specifically asked about usage in Europe and was assured reservations were easy to get and there were a lot of resorts to choose from. This turned out to be another lie, we have never been able to get reservations. They also left out the high fees I would have to pay IF I was ever lucky enough to find an available room. Do not do business with Wyndham!

Travel + Leisure, WorldMark by Wyndham, Club Wyndham, RCI – call it what you want, just know that you will never know what you own, have access to anything or understand the true COST of doing business with these entities. I have been associated with them for over 15 years and they are still playing games. They present at every opportunity that you can get access to everything you’ve ever dreamed of – that is a lie. We were told that if we did not use all of the points we had yearly, we could privately rent out our points for money to use to make our mortgage or maintenance fee payments – ANOTHER LIE! I was perfectly fine with my WorldMark ownership, until their own employees told me I shouldn’t be. I knew what I was getting with Worldmark, now with heir multiple entity associations, all I have are… - Maintenance dues that are out of control. - No evidence of property or room enhancement, which begs the question “where are my maintenance fees going”? - Availability is VOID - points expire and it is nearly impossible to rent them. - Outrageous interest rates. - NO humans to assist us with any of our issues. STEER CLEAR of Travel + Leisure, WorldMark by Wyndham, Club Wyndham, and RCI.

Heads up! There is NO ASSOCIATION between WorldMark by Wyndham and Disney. First and foremost, we were lied to and essentially held hostage during our honeymoon. We were told we would be investing in real estate that would allow us to make an additional income, but we have discovered this couldn’t be further from the truth. We are shocked at Wyndham’s (family of brands) company dishonesty, and we wouldn’t want anyone else to be exposed to the practices of this organization. They took our Drivers Licenses, opened a credit card, and sold us by telling us that there was an association with, and we would have access to Disney Resorts, Cruises, and Theme Parks. When we pointed all these things out via a letter to the company addressed to the President, we heard nothing but crickets. We named employees involved, we noted the misrepresentations related to Disney, we flagged that they opened a credit card in our name, assumingly with only the information contained on our drivers’ licenses, as we authorized nothing. Did we sign a contract, yes. Did WorldMark by Wyndham act with integrity NO!

Regardless of being an “Owner” or not Wyndham Destinations is simply going to keep talking around any issue you bring to light, if you, in a moment of weakness sign on the “dotted line”. We invested and re-invested trying to turn our ownership into what was “sold” to us. It simply can not be done, because the product simply doesn’t exist as described. Now, as result, we have been trying to simply give it back, writing to the CEO requesting assistance in expediting the inevitable, formal separation from the company. We were in fact, pleased that we received in response about a month after reaching out. However, the response is clearly a template format (you can tell that subject matters have canned responses), to our “Executive Complaint”. This response alludes to we are apparently a) liars, b) gullible and c) STUCK with what we have zero interest in keeping. The interests and fees associated with this timeshare are not what was sold to us and at no point were we made aware of the Public Offering Statement or the real cost of the loan we had just signed with Wyndham, otherwise, we would have been privy to our cancellation rights. There is NOTHING exclusive about these properties, the average person on the street can gain access at a fraction of the long-term cost. If you are that confident in what you are selling, take it back, and enjoy the monies that are 100% better return for YOU than the stock market. We will end on this note, with the FACT, that part of your selling process was total emotional manipulation! Not only did they use Ryan's status as a veteran, but they leveraged my status as a cancer patient throughout this whole process. They made us feel like they were trying to help us out and correct prior mistakes but all they did was lead me into more and more contracts with them. Unbelievable!
