Upset with my stay. Booked two nights only to find out pool and hot tub are under renovation. I feel like that’s something I should have been told before hand or offered a lower rate because of it. The place smells awful from the Hinton pulp factory. Beware. Nothing to do with the hotel the but the parent company Wyndham has the worst customer service I’ve ever had. Tried contacting them and they could care less about these and some of my other concerns.

We believe that Wyndham preys on…
We believe that Wyndham preys on veterans and military personnel as they know if you have a security clearance (like we do), we cannot jeopardize our credit or be faced with losing our jobs. We have not been timeshare owners with Wyndham for very long, but we have already seen their true colors. We were never told about the maintenance fees rapidly increasing, we were lied to about the “repurchase program” they claimed to have, and we were told we could receive rental income and tax benefits. If Wyndham has told you any of these things, we are here to tell you they have no shame in their misinformation strategy. They also tend to leave many crucial details out of their presentation, so you only hear about the false positives and nothing negative. If we had known the things, they didn’t tell us, we would not be losing so much money while getting NOTHING IN RETURN!

Horrible
On 1/14/2023 me and my wife went to smuggler's notch with the intention of buying more points. When we got there we were assigned a sale's representative by the name of Jeremy who was a real clown. He talked down to us, didn't listen or care about our concerns and blatantly yelled out my credit score wasn't good so that's why we were getting the deal they were offering. I'm 47 years old and have never been spoken to like that. Tell me why something that should have been simple ended up a diaster. It was a complete waste of my time and I'll NEVER buy from this location. I'd think a corporation that claims to have high standards would hold their people to those same standards. Guess not

Total Scam
Have you ever been duped before? If you attend a presentation with Worldmark by Wyndham, that will most certainly happen. I purchased a timeshare from them in September 2021 based on the following benefits: The promise of rental income – I was making a real estate investment –and their resorts are exclusive to their owners. NONE OF THAT IS REMOTELY TRUE! I would NOT have purchased this timeshare if the following was disclosed: This is a permanent membership – You will struggle to find anything available to travel – The interest rate was ridiculously high – and the finance charge will double the amount I am required to pay.
This is nothing like what I expected. Everything they told me was a complete fabrication of the truth which has led me to be able to take a grand total of ZERO VACATIONS. One time I was able to find a resort I wanted to stay at, but it was an exchange through RCI and they expected me to pay $2,000 in addition to what I was already paying! What is the point of owning when you are nickeled and dimed every step of the way.

Wyndham’s Marketing and Sales…
Wyndham’s Marketing and Sales techniques are nothing short of a multi-level marketing scam where they misrepresent and over value the benefits and services. Here are my words of advice, if you get a call for a “Mini-vacation”, regardless of the bells and whistles, say NO. If you find yourself on a sales table, WALK, the second your time commitment has expired. Helpful hint, no presentation is ever supposed to be more than 2 hours. They will ask, where you would like to go, if they mention RCI, that is another sister company, separate fees, costs, and membership. And RCI represents, multiple scamming timeshare developers, so who knows what you will get. They will lie about all the following with ease and poise. They will tell they have an affiliation with Disney (BTW, no one has the privilege of using their name); access to exclusive resorts (it is not exclusive when it is on Expedia), one day or limited time specials…it is limited to closing a deal to hit a commission. Every single time you step on a property, you will be hounded to attend a presentation or Owner’s update, the message will never change, more, more, more, upgrade, upgrade, upgrade.
All that aside the BIGGEST lie that impacted me, was the comforting notion that if I changed my mind or fell on financial hardship, their “Exit Option” would be available. Guess what, that is a lie too. Now, I am being told my “3rd party loan” must be paid off. Here is my question, where did a 3rd party loan pop up, clearly Wyndham sold it. The creditor on the contract was Wyndham Vacation Resorts Inc. I’ve written the President; I gave him names of all the salespeople…no response.
My assessment is they are Elitists that only line their multi-brand conglomerate pockets.

If anyone from Wyndham offers you…
If anyone from Wyndham offers you discount tickets or anything else, do NOT take them. It’s just a way to lure you in so they can take your money. I thought an hour of my time was fair for discounted theme park tickets, but 3-hours later, I was taken for tens of thousand of dollars! Virtually everything I was told was a lie. Go figure- even the salespeople for a huge, well-known company are as shady as any others. Easy booking? Lie. Renting points for income? Lie. There would always be a way to cancel. Lie (I only had 5 days). Once the contract is paid off, there are no fees. Lie (maintenance fees are for life).
They will open a credit card without explicitly stating so and with a ridiculous interest rate. When I returned home, I discovered I had a legal right to cancel that they couldn’t be bothered to mention. By the time I discovered that, it was too late. It’s always something with them!

Wyndham timeshare is a huge ripoff!
If you go to a Wyndham timeshare presentation and are in any way distracted their salespeople will get
you locked into a seemingly endless circle of high cost, high interest rate, and contracts full of hidden
fees. These people with total disregard for your age or financial situation will lie directly to your face. I
know, I have been busy unraveling their web of lies for five years now. I was promised access to specific
destinations; when in fact they do not have access to without going through third-party companies with
high fees attached. They will tell you that they can “take-over” contracts from other timeshare
companies to get you to sign up with them.
This is NOT a real estate investment, it can not be rented or sold. Your fees, which they purposefully do
not review with any detail, will ONLY increase exponentially from year to year. If you can find
availability, how those “fees” are being spent will be a mystery.
I was not informed that this timeshare was a permanent membership and that I would be paying the
high monthly maintenance fees for the rest of my life, and these fees can increase whenever they want
to increase them without any input from their owners. I was always rushed through my paperwork, and
my questions were answered partially or just plain untruthfully. Given that I am well “over the hump”, in
my late 60’s now, I will say out loud, Wyndham Vacations is engaged in financial Elder Abuse!

0 Stars
If 0 stars were possible, I’d put down that many. My advice: DO NOT attend a “virtual presentation” with this outfit in San Antonio. We were told from the beginning that we were under no obligation to purchase anything and that there would be no hard feelings if we did not become “owners” (an absurd term). We were treated extremely disrespectfully as soon as we made it clear that we were not interested. The aggressive sales tactics quickly went from comical to infuriating- and the “pitch” went over by more than 30 minutes. The last joker we met with was sarcastic and rude. I couldn’t decide whether to laugh out loud or just get up and leave. We were not impressed at ANY point by these hucksters. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!!
