Wyndham lied and manipulated me during the sales meeting. This was 100% confirmed after Googling Wyndham, and seeing that as recently as April 2022, they were in a lawsuit regarding their deceptive sales tactics, and while these practices continue, it also confirms these sales tactics are intentional and likely come from the top. Not only will you be relentlessly pressured, but they will also make you feel obligated to buy into this “no-obligation” timeshare.
What I experienced is an immense lack of availability to book travel, they deliberately withheld information pertaining to the financials buried in the contract, and they also never disclosed that I had the right to cancel the contract within 5 days in South Carolina that was also buried in the contract.
NEVER AGAIN WILL I BE TRICKED, LIED TO, or DECEIVED. Wyndham has given me nothing but a bitter taste in my mouth!

Shell Vacations is a deceptive
hell Vacations is a deceptive, lying, conniving company and I know firsthand having been an owner since 2010! They target the elderly, with their mentally and physically draining sales tactics. The constant harassment, lies, and manipulation was absolutely gut-wrenching beyond words. Shell employees had 0 regard for my time, and violated my trust from those who are supposed to be knowledgeable. They tell you what you want to hear, literally ANYTHING to get you to sign, so they can make another sale for the day.
When I upgraded my ownership, I did it for 1 specific reason and that was to be able to travel to the Beach Boy Resort in Hawaii. The salesman Jeff assured me that I would have priority booking for a reservation. However, when I tried to book a reservation after increasing my points, there was never any availability. This is a clear breach of the promises made to me during the presentation.
Wyndham is now the proud owner of Shell Vacations and since they’ve taken over it has somehow become worse and I never thought there was a worse company than Shell Vacations, but alas, here I am dealing with more greed.

When I checked i bad customer service
When I checked in, it was with a White representative and her first words to me were what’s up. I looked at her and confusion because of what she said. I was dressed in my ravens gear coming from the football game. The next statement the representative said oh you just MAD y’all lost the game. At this point, I had not uttered one word. I am offended because I know if I was WHITE man she wouldn’t have addressed me in such a manner. After checking in, she gave me the wrong room number And it took me an hour to get into the correct room. I do not know how you can fix this for that reason I’ll never stay another Wyndham hotel, anywhere in the world!

We want to share our recent experience…
We want to share our recent experience with Wyndham, and it's not a positive one. Our vacation was supposed to be a time of relaxation and enjoyment, but unfortunately, their employees had other plans. They used bait and switch tactics to get us to attend a presentation, promising it would only take an hour of our time. They actually spent 4 hours pushing us to buy the Bonnet Creek property, claiming we could make money by renting it out through Wyndham or even AirBnB.
The sales representatives used a tag team operation, with one slick sales guy followed by a manager who added more pressure. We felt intimidated and pressured to go along with their plan. This purchase cost us over $20,000 in just the first year, and we only stayed at one of their resorts for 4 nights. Our maintenance fees were not included with our mortgage payment, as promised, so there’s a separate payment that was not disclosed. This whole situation could end up costing us over $150,000, which we simply cannot afford. With each vacation we take comes a high-pressure sales pitch where we are told that our current ownership is "worthless". We found it insulting that one Wyndham salesperson sells us and on our next vacation a different Wyndham salesperson tells us we were taken for a ride. How can the employees essentially tell us the last one scammed us and still be in business?

Wyndham is such an awful company
Wyndham is such an awful company! We were tricked into attending a meeting, during which time I was pregnant. I told the representative this as I became lightheaded during the meeting. Wyndham’s staff did not allow us to leave, but instead provided us with snacks and drinks. The salesman went as far as to use my pregnancy as a segue into his sales pitch! He even said, “This is the best thing you could do for your child.” All while claiming this purchase to be an “investment”. After the fact, we did some research and found this to be anything but an investment! We’re now thousands of dollars in debt because Wyndham CHOSE to be dishonest.
Wyndham does not care about your well-being! They only care about making more money! We recently looked up what Wyndham is worth and as of September 2023, they are valued at $5.85 BILLION and we know the value of this company is based off lies and cheating everyday Americans.

Lots of regret and wasted money
Our experience with Wyndham, has been profoundly disappointing and disillusioning. We have been Wyndham members since October 2017. Hoping for exciting travel experiences and exceptional vacations, our only experience has been deceit, misinformation, coercive tactics, and a blatant disregard for providing essential financial information.
From the beginning we were misled and provided with incomplete information. Crucial aspects of our membership were conveniently forgotten during the presentations. We discovered that critical details regarding membership limitations, points transferability, and costs associated with using our points through RCI were not fully disclosed. This lack of transparency was a breach of trust.
Hidden costs have been a significant burden. Maintenance fees, transfer fees, and undisclosed payments were not properly disclosed during the sales process, resulting in a financial strain far beyond what we initially anticipated. This lack of transparency has caused both financial and emotional distress.
We were assured by a Wyndham salesman, Clovis Oliveira, that our membership would grant us access to a multitude of Wyndham hotels worldwide. However, attempting to book has consistently been met with limited availability which has led to wasted points and years without vacations, adding to our frustration and disappointment. Even attempts to upgrade our account did not yield the promised improvements in resort quality and availability.
After enduring extreme pressure during the presentation, we have found that we were not accurately informed of our rescission period, denying us the opportunity to review our contract and make an informed decision within a reasonable timeframe. Further demonstrating Wyndham's disregard for their customers' rights undermines any semblance of trust we had in the company. Wyndham is not a company you want to do business with, and we regret the day we went to one of their presentations.
