I have mostly shopped on line for world mkt. I went into the store for Labor Day and it was the end of a busy day I was told. The store has cut down on the amount of items that used to be stocked. I asked about doorknobs and was told to check on line. I perused the store and before closing time a sales person came up and said I had one minute to cash out. There were people in line and all your employees were doing was looking at their watches and standing at the door. I do not know what happened to customer service , but it went by the way side in that store that evening. As I walked out with my merchandise, the rudest sales person was busy getting out of the store and jumping in her ride. It actually was only a few minutes after 8:00pm.,So her last minute rush was for her to catch a ride and leave end of shift. The focus had nothing to do with being an employee helping close out the night. It was brushing out the door. I was shocked .

They claim to be an online store (i.e. they have a website to order items) but they won't ship most items. Unfortunately there used to be several stores in my area. Those stores both closed, so the closest store is too far away to bother. Also, they've refused to give me the correct amounts due on 2 gift cards.

The worst online experience since the internet was invented! DO NOT PATRONIZE WORLD MARKET! There is no recourse to resolving the issue you will have but repeatedly listening to someone in their NO CUSTOMER SERVICE call center recite a script to you in broken English: "In the warehouse" "Up to 2 weeks" (after a month of waiting). You will have to DISPUTE with your financial institution to get your money back.

Bait and switch. Opened a World Market credit card to get 30% off coupon for dining chairs. Bought two chairs (in store at full price) decided I loved them order 4 on line after opening world market card. Chairs never came. I sent an email asking and the replay was they were cancelled ‘these things happen’. No notification sent. Only reason I bought them is they would get here on time for a dinner party. Now I have zero time to remedy the situation. Customer serve suggested re ordering the chairs and pay for expedited shipping. If I don’t order the chairs I’m stuck with two chairs I can’t use. I can’t imagine how hard it’ll be to try and get that 30% off back. And of course there’s no one in store that can help. You have to call customer service and they can only do so much. Don’t open their credit card! Wait for a sale and use your own card. It’s not worth the headache. Let me add how horrible the customer service is at the Falls Church location. Waisted time with a 20ish year old manager who couldn’t care less about helping customers. Apparently he missed the customer service portion of orientation.

Got my stuff way quickerthan I thought. Quality’s spt on too, really happywith the whole thing.

Paid over 60 bucks for shipping and it was damaged and left at the garage door and not the front door

I found some chairs that I purchased full price. I signed up for the membership that was supposed to give me free shipping and a discount. I actually paid the same as if I wasn’t a member….first warning that this might suck. Next, the delivery came in 2 weeks. They were the wrong chairs!! Contacted customer service, only to be treated like this didn’t matter to them. I suppose it happens all the time then? Now I have to bring these huge chairs to FedEx. I literally got nothing out of this transaction. I guess that why most reviews are saying they will never, ever do business with this worthless company again. Sad.
