Winhost's strength is where it really counts, in the support you so often need while deploying apps to the web. I would like to put in a huge piece of appreciation for the Winhost Support Team. Over the years, I have had a few issues and each time, the response was quick, extremely accurate and helpful. Whatever the request, they go out of the way to provide a solution and full information. I remember a case where the issue turned out to be in the code and the support team after spending time diagnosing the issue, went beyond the call of duty to help me find a solution. They are a huge part of the reason why I continue to use Winhost for all my hosting needs and I strongly recommend it to others.

I have had a great experience with Winhost. I maintain several websites on three other hosting companies. Winhost is now my favorite hosting company. I selected Winhost based upon service response on database driven updates. The majority of the users are in the Phoenix AZ metro area.

Helping me gradually out of a nightmare, that I knew dial-up code and pop methodology, and this being my first, official dot com, the complexity is due to the right to use same. The team, has gone out of their responsibility with the agreement for web site, and helped me get their incredible email program, working to a degree, however as usual lots to learn yet. Finding their help files to be clear, concise and at a level of verbal rhetoric that even I can understand, as the light bulbs go off in my mind from back in the day of dial-up 600bps modem use, and all that I've forgotten, and those hand written documents are buried, so scattered, that it is better, I re-learn and learn all that I can from all areas of help within their web site. I've just about got my first web page ready to go, and upload to my dot com, and have been so... excited to have my family proud of the dear old dad, to finally accomplish these things. I am really impressed with Winhost features and support team. The support team is very technical and 100% immediate clear response. Perfect. I fell like support team is sitting next to me and resolving the issues. I fell lucky I have chosen right host provider. Their control panel features are very nice... easy to understand. Site speed is very fast and 100% up and price is cheap and easy to switch the plans. They have some interesting silent features which I was not aware initially and I was really looking for those features. Thanks to Winhost. 1. Winhost supports Entity Framework Code First Migrations. From Visual Studio we can directly deploy the complete DB or DB changes. - I love this feature. 2. Winhost provides stats on daily/Weekly/Monthly basis report. Where stats will give complete analysis about the site. Winhost send automatic mails once you opt. 3. Remote SQL (Your Site DB’s) access – Which I really like. 4. Winhost provides SQL access over portal (sqladmin) where you can see your DB. We can manipulate/commit data from here as well. It is almost same as SSMS.

I would not change anything in Winhost except the domain pointer paradigm. Arvixe offered a method that distinguished the email addresses.

I've been with Winhost over 5 years now and I'm moving my accounts. I got an email from Winhost stating I had a compromised website (which hasn't been changed in over a year) and listed 2 files that were the offending files and suspended my account. In addition they could charge me an hourly fee and work on the site for me. I removed the 2 files and notified Winhost. I received an email stating there were more than the 2 files compromising my site leaving the only alternative of hiring someone on their staff on an open ended hourly contract to scan MY site. I'm moving my 2 sites this week to a new vendor that hopefully has better ethical business practices. Bob Brickley
