I surprised my wife with a new custom wine rack for Christmas, and she was absolutely delighted. Unfortunately, the wine rack looked so good that the rest of my basement looked pitiful in comparison. Therefore, ever since I installed the wine rack, I've had to take on numerous projects to make the rest of the basement look as good as the wine rack. The other problem I'm having appears to be with the structural design of the wine rack, there must be a flaw because the wine I put in the wine rack keeps disappearing. I can't figure out where the wine goes, but it seems the bottles simply disappear, almost one per evening - and mostly the 14 Hands Merlot. For unknown reason, my wife seems fine with this phenomenon. I am a CPA by trade, but I worked construction in my teen years building fancy homes on Sea Island, GA, so I am handy with woodworking tools. So I had no trouble assembling and installing the wine rack.

We love the wine racks I purchased from your company. They are just what we needed for that space and have had many complements on them already, They came very well packaged and were a breeze to put together using an air nailer and a power screw driver. Thanks for the great product and if I ever need more I know where to look.

Of the now SIX wine racks I've purchased from this company I've been very happy all around. The quality of the product for the price is pretty hard to beat! Shipping was quick and assembly was a breeze! Email communications with order updates/shipping info. Was promptly sent. So happy to have found this company!

I have a fairly wide winding staircase in my home, with stairs six feet across.. Besides the large open feeling you get climbing the stairs, you also end up with a large (144 square foot) storage area, under the stairs, in the coolest place in the house. What better space to re-claim, and convert to a wine cellar. Shopping the internet for modular systems, I found Wine Cellar Innovations, to have the easiest site to navigate. With all the various choices, there was bound to be something that would work. I chose the "Designer Series". After deciding on the general layout that covered three walls, it didn't take long to pick and choose the various modules that would fit. All that was left to determine, was the wood species and the stain. Lucky for me, my first choice was the Dark Classic Mahogany, which just happened to be part of a "free" holiday upgrade. I also choose the racks with the "Display Row", since I planned to highlight various areas with LED illumination. I had nine foot ceilings in that storage room. The tall units in the Designer Series are 72 inches. That left me the option to build a large eight inch base, a huge elaborate sixteen inch crown, and still have about twelve inches to "stair-step" the center of a small vaulted ceiling. There are several wall and ceiling ideas on the Wine Cellars Innovation website that will surely give you some ideas. I found some close-out white marble for the floor, but didn't have enough to cover it completely, so I decided to run an eighteen inch border of carpet around the front of the racks. This provided a padded "drop" zone to aid in loading and unloading bottles from the rack. It has come in handy more than once already. I planned on using inexpensive plywood for most of the construction. My salesman sent me a sample of the wood, so I could get started and have a matching stain mixed at my local paint store. Everything arrived sooner than expected. I already owned a nail gun, so the assembly was very easy, even the fancy corner modules. Not one single problem piece. A few could have used some more "sanding" before the stain was applied, but I was able to just turn those pieces with the rough side inward, so "no-harm-no foul". I choose matte black as the color on the walls behind the racks. This hid any imperfections in the wall surface. Once the base was built, all the modules were installed. I came up with easy way of fastening the individual racks together. I used furniture bolts, three spaced along the front vertical rails and two spaced along the back. This allowed me to adjust each module and keep them in perfect alignment. Wine Cellars Innovation does have various moulding accessories for the base and crown, but I planned my base and crown structures to incorporate different edge mouldings to do the very same thing. Plus, all these mouldings allowed me to cover some of my "less-than-professional" carpentry skills. After the crown was roughed-in, I used all the scrap moulding pieces to design a ceiling with a small shelf on the perimeter, to hold some indirect lighting. Wine Cellars also offer "Arched" sections, suitable for any type of display area. I choose to build my own, solely because I needed different widths than their standard modules offered. I planned on a wine barrel display, as well as a "faux stained glass window". I ended up using a Mylar window shade, some obscure glass and "Martha Stewart" simulated liquid lead. I had installed a LED strip along the display row on the racks, which extended into the arches and behind the glass. Once the granite counter slabs were installed, I built a small rack to hold a dozen wine glasses that would hang from the top. CAUTION !! Build the glass rack before you install the granite. You will probably drop a few glasses during the fitting process and they don't bounce very well on granite. Carved woodwork appliqués, dental crown moulding, etc., finished off the look I was going for. I covered the rest of the walls in the room, with travertine floor tiles I found on clearance, then simulated posts and beams to give it that "Monastery basement" look. I have finally found a nice beveled glass door for the room. One of these days, I will stain it to match and build up some fancy moldings around it, to finish the room. The whole project, including all the plywood, molding, lighting, granite, Travertine tiles, and racking, came just under $3650. By the time I finish the door, it will be at $4000.00. Not bad for a room that can hold 550 bottles. I guess I have to stop buying Trader Joe's "Two-buck-Chuck". It just doesn't feel right............

I love my Curvy Cube End Table! It was easy to put together, they quickly screwed together, and the wood is very solid, smooth, and beautiful. I get compliments on them all the time and it's a nice conversational piece. My wine fits in there perfectly...except I keep drinking my bottles too quickly to keep it stored! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an interesting wine rack. ((also stores my blueberry vodka quite nicely :))

We bought a home with a wine cellar and after a few years we wanted to upgrade the area. The current racks were getting older and we didn't trust them to support our wine collection. After a few different bids, we ended up going with Wine Cellar Innovations. We were extremely pleased with Trish Stokes, our consultant. She created a design for us, walked us through our different wood options, and suffered through the many changes we made along the way.. :) The installation went smoothly and we absolutely love our new wine room. Very responsive customer service and a great product!
