Bottom Display Rack Needs Own Instructions
I just completed the assembly of two Vintner Series Wine Rack - Individual Bottle Wine Rack - 2 Columns Top Stack with Lower Display last night. They look great added to my bar. There were three main issues: 1) The instructions were for the top display Vintner racks and my racks are the lower display models so the instructions were of marginal use as I had 4 spacebars and 4 stackable beam supports left over. There was no place to put them on my design which was very confusing at first and I am an avid woodworker. I had to refer back to my purchase order picture to determine the orientation of my racks. 2) All of the spacebars had either wood ridges or extra paint on the cutouts that I had to trim with a razor to get them to sit flush during assembly. 3) The most important part of the build is ensuring the legs are square so the rack stands without teetering. I had to use a framing square and wood clamps as the pre-slotted locations for the spacebars did not always align. This would be a problem for someone without these tools. I used a nail gun for assembly as a hammer and nails would destroy the product. In all we like the way the racks look and the style is exactly what I wanted. I will apply putty to the visible nail holes and touch up the paint for a finished look. I will consider these racks for our next storage expansion.
