CALLED WIGS.COM (800 581 2001) 5/10/19 @ 11:55 AM 1. Spoke with Allie and went over previous history of Wigs.com sending the wrong wig. Allie told me they need 3 to 5 business days for inspection after getting back wig. 2. I said, “This whole thing is not my fault, it is your fault, so what are you going to do for us?” 3. Allie said again that nothing could be done for 3 to 5 business days after the wig was received to determine the problem. 4. Allie also said once they determined if the wig were defective, they would ship a new one without charging for shipping. 5. I replied: That’s ridiculous since the wig sent you sent was not as advertised on your web site and the mistake was yours, not mine. Why would anyone expect to pay shipping for a mistake you made? 6. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was transferred to Erin. 7. Erin came on the line and I went over the same things stated to Allie. Erin reiterated the fact they needed 3 to 5 business days to inspect the wig. 8. I said, “Why do you need that time since I already sent you a long email detailing the problem, together with a picture that you asked me to send showing that the wig was nine inches longer than the one shown on your web site.” 9. Erin said, “Well, it might be that you have sent a different wig than you ordered—people have tried that in the past.” 10. I said, “You must thing I’m stupid. I sent you the picture you asked me to take together with a detailed explanation. Do you have it? 11. Erin said, “Yes, but I can’t tell exactly what I’m looking at and we have to inspect it.” 12. I said, “Do you not see that the length in the picture is 16 inches whereas you advertise it as 7 inches?” 13. Erin said, “You are condescending. If it is defective we will issue a refund.” 14. I said, “I’m condescending? Listen, I’m trying to get you to see what is going on here. And I’m not interested in a refund. I simply want the wig pictured on your web site and shown in the video that you posted. Additionally, I looked at numerous other videos on other web sites of the same wig and what you sent is not the same one you advertised. What are you going to do for me? 15. Erin said, unfortunately we will have to get the wig and inspect it. 16. I said, “You have the wig, it was delivered to you on 5/9/19. And now you insult me by telling me you will send it back shipping charge free. What else would anyone expect from a company who falsely advertised a product. You seem to gloss over the fact that the fault is not mine; it is yours.” 17. Erin said, “We will have to end this conversation if you continue to be abusive.” 18. I said, “I’m not abusive, I’m trying to get you to see that your company is at fault and you need to right things post haste.” I also said, “Is this conversation recorded?” 19. Erin said, “Yes.” 20. I said, “Good, I hope you let your CEO hear this because she needs to be clued in to what she needs to do to run her company. This is not the way to interact with customers. I doubt I will ever order anything from you in the future.” 21. Erin said, “Well, when we inspect the wig we can issue you a refund.” 22. I said, “Are you telling me that you will refund the entire amount back to the credit card, because your web site states you do not refund, but only issue a site credit. 23. Erin said, “We can issue you a complete refund. After we inspect the wig we will contact you to let you know where things stand.” 24. I said, “Are you going to call me? 25. Erin said, “We will. What number? (Erin never did call back). 26. I gave her my number and said, “Thanks.” 27. Erin said, “Have a nice rest of your day.” 28. I said: “I won’t.” 29. Call ended. The wig was ordered 4/29/19. Wigs.Com issued a refund on 5/16/19 one week after the above conversation. Their attention to this matter throughout was, in my opinion, miserable. I will not be doing business with this company ever again. I deal with Amazon for most online purchases and very seldom return anything. On an occasion that that is necessary, Amazon credits a return as soon as the item is deposited with UPS BEFORE they even receive it at their facility. I told Wigs.com their CEO might be well advised to consider revising their procedure and not put a customer through hoops, especially when it was their FAULT in the first place by sending the wrong product.
Response from Wigs.com – The Wig Experts™Jun 7, 2019
We are very sorry for your experience with us and want to ensure that sending out an incorrect/mislabled item is not how we do business. After reviewing your order, you were correct the incorrect item was sent to you and was labeled wrong. We have refunded you in full for this mistake. I have tried to call you in the hopes of helping make this situation a little better, but got your voicemail that wasn't set up yet. We appreciate you sending pictures to help show what you received and you returning for inspection. Once we receive items back into our fulfillment center, we process the inspection as quickly as possible. We hope that you allow us the opportunity to assist you in the future and show that your process will go much smoother and you will receive the correct item/s.
