My first time buying a wig on line:
My first time buying a wig on line: No matter what you do, you'll get something wrong. Ah well, whatever! You'd laugh too, but it was Halloween that saved me. I bought the wig to cover up thinning hair, and choose a style based on concealment. Next, I selected the color (blond with red highlights) to not appear terribly noticable. The key word is 'appear' here. So I slip on a lovely loose fitting knit dress with pockets, legging and sketchers, all in black. 'Bewitched' here I come! I arrive at the HighSchool, slip into the staff restroom, donned my wig of strawberry blond (mostly the later) and slipped into the hall. I'd finish, with the shreaks of surprise but I'll leave that for another day. So the next purchase was based on my husband's requests of a little less hair, shorter and more my own color. After many hours in front of the screen, I made my selection, purchased it and waited nervously, wondering if I'd made a terrible mistake again. Six days later, I rush home (following the delivery periodically on line, of course). Darkness had settled in earlier, so it was twilight when I headed for the bathroom mirror. Hum, a tug here and a push there, not bad I say to myself. But there something about the color, hum! Hubby approves of the style, 1 down, rah! The next day I'm home a little earlier to inspect a little closer. It's construction and the color blending were done very well. But I saw the issue. One of the color tones was Ash. This is the one tone that makes me look (pardon me) like a dead fish. There was so little of it in the mix but even that little bit made my skin look gray. Luckly (thank you) the web site made it easy to send back and I am happily awaiting the correct color choice to be released from back order. I can't wait, but i will. It's been quite the experience and now it's not as scary as it was.
