Purchased my first whistle on the site a couple of days ago. The experience is okay, but the topic is complex and had me hunting all over for information. For example, I wasn’t sure which model to get and the comparison table is reasonable solution but I had to read through the whole table to see that there appears to be only two differences (battery and light). I also had to rely on amazon reviews and several tech blogs to inform my decision. So I think there might be a way to make this an easier purchase decision.

Purchasing was easy. As far as the device functioning, it remains to be seen.

I bought the Whistle to help me find my dogs if one or more of them left the house on his own, to catch them before they get to a busy street. Unfortunately, it’s almost useless in that regard. First of all, the Whistle sends out numerous false alerts (like dozens) saying my dog is on the lam when the Whistle is actually sitting on the kitchen counter getting charged. Second, if my dog is wearing it and leaves the house, the Whistle signal is delayed and may not even be directionally accurate.

First day works great.

At first I found the constant notification annoying but then I called support and got a lesson in configuring it. Now I appreciate the notifications because it assures me the thing is working. Battery lasts long. Tracker is fun to use at the park and we post screen shots on Facebook. I use the flashing light when he decides to meander in the yard before bed. Very light and sturdy. Just found out I am getting a second dog and the first thing I did was to order another Whistle.
