I got this device for my dogs once they ran away and almost died in a winter storm. That was about 4 years ago and they haven't been without a device since. I typically have to buy a new device every year and a half because the battery goes bad. But the GPS device and directions are amazing. I have lost my dogs 2 times since getting the device and they are easy to be found. It is a bit expensive and if I didn't have the income I do, I don't know if I could afford but I am lucky I can.. it runs about 200 a year and the devices cost about 150 for 2 devices each year and a half

Everyone knows how cats wander. I have 4 cats and worried that they would wander off and get picked up and put back into shelters. So I micro-chipped & licensed them. I still worried as they scampered all over several blocks. Now I can follow all 4 of them with their GPS trackers from Whistle. They are so surprised as they hunker under whatever and I still find them; even when they have gone up into trees and onto garage tops. They weigh from 9#'s to 13#'s. I purchased small size sturdy dog collars which work perfectly to hold the trackers and their holding devices. I am a very happy and satisfied customer. The cats not so much!

I had the Whistle product when it was Tagg. I didn't like that I had to buy new equipment for everything to be compatible. But for the most part, the product is fine. I have some issues with the map showing random areas where my dog 'is' when my dog is not there. Customer service has been fine. They couldn't figure out the map issue but did look into it. Seemed to correct itself for the most part. If I had any recommendations for improvement, I'd make the device smaller, waterproof, and easier to put on standby when going on walks. It does give me some peace of mind knowing that my boy won't be lost again.

Great product and good customer service

My dachshund is a slow wanderer in a rural setting, so the three minutes between pings works ok for me. If you have a fast dog in a high traffic area, it could be a concern. The warnings and updates being sent to me via text are very helpful. In this area we have only had street addresses for a few years. The addresses aren't always accurate. All that said, for the price and my situation, it's a wonderful thing to have.

So that I had confidence in the system I put it in my wife's car when she went to run some errands. I could see the exact route taken, where she was stopped and the names of the streets where each occurred! VERY HAPPY!!!

My daughter gave me a Whistle tracker for my new pup last Dec. and it works well. I had to get some customer support and they worked with me to correct the issues. All in all a great devise and easy to set up and use. On the but / downside the battery should hold a charge at least 5-6 days and has done so but now my unit only holds for about 3 days between charges. I realize my pup goes out side the Whistle zone a good bit but that has been the same since I started with the unit. If I needed to replace it I would still use this product.
