I have wellcare value script and today my wife enrolled in it. I signed up years ago & don't recall the experience we had today. It took ONE AND ONE HALF HOURS. WE ANSWERED THE SAME QUESTIONS FROM THREE DIFFERENT PEOPLE. THE LAST ONE, who for security and pity will not be named. SHE MADE AT LEAST 4 ERRORS ENTERING THE INFO INTO THE COMPUTER. WOW. It seemed like she did not know how to read when she read her script. My wife and I are exhausted after that experience. The good news is the monthly charge for value script is zero per month. Oh well...

This company will send your info to the Philippines. Deny your life saving drugs. Overall, they should be barred from the Medicare system.

This is quite possibly the worst healthcare organization I have ever dealt with when it comes to customer service. I have spent untold hours either on hold or sitting in a chat box waiting for a response from someone who is obviously either incompetent or juggling 6 different customers at once. If you have a choice, avoid them at all cost.

We are treated by Northwell Health Care and we were notified by Wellcare that the contract between Northwell and Wellcare will be terminated on July 2026. This leaves all the members who are part of the Northwell Health Care to look for new practitioners, we believe that this is because of a financial decision. We are told by Wellcare that our health is important to them, if our health is so important to them, how can you just cut off the Health Care providers from your members, then it is obvious that money is more important than they members. What lies you tell your members. Poor, Poor, Poor.Zero,Zero.

Atrociously inept customer service. The company knows this, and yet never fixes the problem. That alone tells you all you need to know about Wellcare. Do your homework, there are other companies that run their business with a much higher degree of accountability and sense of ethics and obligation to their customers. Without competent customer service, it's impossible to resolve issues that regular happen with this poorly run company.

Absolutely unacceptable. The kindest I can be is that perhaps the customer service people simply do not know enough English and that even a request for a simple vacation override, or a request to speak to their pharmacy department, is not a chapter in their script and thus not comprehensible. No, the whole world does not need to speak English ! But customer service agents for Americans -- they do need to speak English. I won't go into the boring details of my long and useless calls with them, except to say that after wasting an hour going round in ever-maddening circles, and finally begging, literally BEGGING, to be transferred to their pharmacy department (who I had spoken to earlier, and which was where my help could possibly have lay), and with the agent repeatedly muting herself and not responding to me (so I had no idea if she was there still), and (sorry to say) finally yelling, "I NEED TO SPEAK TO YOUR PHARMACY DEPARTMENT ! I NEED MY MEDICINE !" I was put on hold for 10 minutes, told I could not be transferred to the pharmacy dept (though I had been earlier),.. and then asked if I had pencil and paper... and given the phone number of my own pharmacy. I am changing Part D plans.

Wellcare discontinued my family member's prescription insurance for 'non-payment' in spite of the fact that it was on an ACH auto pay. He's very sick. We could not get it reinstated because he was not suddenly experiencing homelessness, institutionalized or any other of a list of horrible circumstances. It took over an hour and an escalation to the 'supervisor' to get here. He simply didn't notice it not being deducted...because he's sick. Interesting that it's federal law that he may buy another insurance plan within two months of cancelation. Done. Wish we'd started with another company sooner.
