HI Curtis. Manufacturers wish for customers to only pay full retail price for their products, and they discourage any business giving discounts. Authorized dealers are under contract to only sell at full retail price, to keep the perceived value of the merchandise as high as possible to the customer. We buy from authorized dealers that need to move inventory under the table, pass the discount on to our customers, and provide you with the same authentic merchandise at a fraction of the cost. This is what is known as the grey market, and is extremely common in the watch industry and in luxury brand merchandise as a whole. Virtually every single company that sells TAG watches online are grey market dealers and follow the exact same business model as us. The watch we sold you was authentic, as are all the watches we sell, but employees at manufacturer boutiques are instructed to refuse to help if they know it was bought from a grey market dealer. They are instructed to do exactly as you say, "Question" the authenticity, but they didn't tell you it was inauthentic because they knew it was real. However, still, they'll definitely try to discourage you from buying from the grey market and instead will want you to buy directly from them at full price. Again, an attempt to discourage businesses from offering discounts on their merchandise. It has absolutely nothing to do with the authenticity, rather a sales tactic of the manufacturer. We've been in business for over 20 years and everything we sell is 100% authentic because we only buy from authorized dealers. If you have any further questions please feel free to reach out to us and we'll be glad to help.
