We tried the Hip EEZ brace for our 8 month old Bernese Mountain Dog. He had bilateral moderate to severe hip dysplasia. His particular type of hip dysplasia was such that his hips were partially dislocated all the time. Unless they could be back in the joint fully he had a painful condition and being an immature dog his hips had no chance for proper development as he grew. He was in pain and struggled to get up from a lying position. He could only walk short distances and needed to bunny hop to move some of the time. We use the hip EEZ brace for large dogs for 2 months most of the daytime hours. I am not going to suggest it was easy. It was not. It was challenging to put the brace on because he did not like to wear it. Often he tried to remove it after it was placed. We persisted and he eventually got used to wearing it. Before the brace we were told by our vet and an orthopedic vet that the only option for our dog was getting right and left hip replacement surgery at one year of age. We did not opt for the surgery. Today our Bernese is 16 months old and has not used any pain medication for several months. He gets up off the floor reasonably. He runs and even does some jumping. He does not have a show dog gait but he is happy and functional. To be fair we can’t know for certain why he has done so well but we are certain the Hip EEZ helped get his femur heads back in the hip sockets. I would encourage a trial of the hip EEZ back for most any dog with hip disability.

This is a fantastic product - sturdy, easy to use, simple to configure - that has given our 100-lb German Shepherd months of walks that he wouldn't have had otherwise (age-related rear leg neuropathy). Fine on pavement, but also in uneven, rutted, and grassy terrain, and even worked great in deep, wet snow. We've had one ring clip break and later saw some bending on a mount pad on one of the extensions. In both cases, Customer Service was quick, friendly, and knowledgeable, and ensured our boy didn't lose his freedom of mobility. Several people have stopped us on our "rolls" to ask about the wheels and we've been happy to share our experience. We also provided a demonstration to our vet, to allow him to recommend Walkin' Wheels to other patients based on his own observations. Can't recommend this highly enough.

Amazing company! Unfortunately I have bad luck with getting wheel chairs for my dogs. The first one I ordered from them was back in 2017. Before it showed up I had to cancel my order as my dog Achilles passed away. They were so kind, caring and made me feel just a little less horrible with a wonderful postcard hand written to me. It was very touching that a company cared enough to reach out in that manner. More recently we ordered another wheelchair for another dog, we received it and he was able to get around and stopped him from falling. Sadly it only got about 2 weeks worth of use before he took a turn for the worse and we had to make the difficult decision to let our best boy "Matzah" cross the rainbow bridge. Based on my first experience with this company I will never look anywhere else for my pets needs in regards to mobility issues. Real people that care work there and that means a lot to me and it should for everyone else too.

My best friend Harley, a 100 pound German Shepherd had his hips go out 2 years ago and we made the call to let him use the walking wheels and he lived it it for the entire two years. Tomorrow he will be laid to rest for other issues not related to his hips. He did go thru one set of tires and the front harness but it was normal wear with lots of miles walking & chasing squirrels the best he could. Very good design and it allowed my buddy & I more memorable time to enjoy life and have fun.

When our dog Coco suddenly lost about 80% use of her back legs due to muscular dystrophy, we started looking into wheelchairs for her. We saw one other by a different brand that we momentarily considered for about $100 cheaper. But after reading reviews, many people noted it started falling apart & they had to do a lot of DIY work to it. So we decided to go with the better made cart…WalkinPets. And I am SO glad we did!! I had NO idea Coco would be so hard on her wheelchair! She LOVED it! We pull out her special harness for it & she loses her mind! 😆 She purposely speeds up when going towards curbs and I usually help pop up her rear-end when going *up* them. There have definitely been times when she’s gone fast enough to make it up curbs by herself! Haha! And she ALWAYS runs down them by herself. Her favorite thing is to do wheelies, where she walks down the length of curbs with one tire on the curb and one on the street. She’s a maniac! We loved that it was easily adjustable to her & the size recommendations on their site was accurate. As hard as she is on it, it has never broke or loosened in any way. And she demands walks twice a day. I wish we had gotten it for her earlier when her back legs were even the slightest bit weak. I also wish I had known about them with my previous dog who had a torn ACL. She would’ve loved it! I cannot say enough good things about WalkinPets! My only feedback to the company would be to recommend footwear or other accessories that disabled dog may need. We wouldn’t have even known what we needed had it not been for her vet. And we went through booties like crazy! Since then, I’ve seen MUCH better shoes that are more like roller skates so their feet don’t drag at all!! WalkinPets should work with these companies so their customers can get what they need.
